Everton just twittered appointment of RK. Three year deal no other details.
-
How about this theory - RK agrees another year on his existing contract taking him to 2018. That means he will then be available after the 2018 season ends and after the world cup to take the Netherlands managers job if it's available opening him up to one of his career goals as a manager.

Les dropped the ball. Complacency methinks, was he concentrating elsewhere.

Although I live in West Sussex I used to work in Southampton in the 90's and everyone in the office supported Southampton, or kept vey quiet. So I started following results, then started to learn about the team, started to hate Rupert Lowe and then went to a game and was hooked. Having been through to good and bad times I still can't really believe how well we are doing and in the Man U game I admired the organisation in the defence but still felt that dread that it was all going to go tits up. Especially in the last few minutes. I still think one of the best games I've been to was when we beat Tottenham at home 4-0.

I don't post on here often but Floridamarlin you are spot on. In real life contracts have to be followed and adhered to. Failure to do so should involve significant penalties to the contracted if broken. If a player had to personally pay off their contract to leave on top of any transfer fee then things would change. However that is not the world we live in!

Once he's realised that Southampton FC hold all of the cards needed to win the case we'd then be willing to discuss next steps. However, if he takes the path of conflict with the club I'm of the opinion that writing off £8m to prove our point is a cost worth taking because it will be a once-off situation. Obviously, no wages are paid for non performance if contracted duties due to refusal to work. This is a game of brinkmanship I'd be happy to play this time around. I agree. This the one case when I'd be happy for the club to play real hard ball with a player. I totally agree on this one. What is the point of having a fixed contract of say four or five years ,which gives the player security, if they are not adhered to. I would really play hard ball and say yes you can go, the balance of your contract must be payed off in in full by the player and then a transfer fee on top. The only trouble is it would never work!

You all signed contracts - we are making you stand by them

I'm sorry but that is rubbish. The distance selling regulations override any contract terms

I'm category 5. I read this forum all the time but post rarely as if I do I'm usually wrong, or suspect I will be in someone's eyes But I do pay my sub

A translation into English might be nice

Until we get another "killer" I think we will struggle 3-0 to City

Its total rubbish if you have any form of sight problem Red on Black is difficult to see and some Muppet thinks accessibility is about data protection

The FL app is not working either which is a complete pain. Anyone know when they plan to fix it. Not much point paying £9.99 a year for something that does not work. Much rather have a dedicated Saints app

I think "The Liebherr St Mary's Stadium" has a nice ring to it

For tomorrow only I'm a Brighton supporter!

Crack!

I'm afraid that after a blistering start where teams could not cope with us, managers have looked at the videos of where we have been defeated and now come with an effective plan to beat us. We have to adapt and improve. Something we are not doing at the moment. New tactics/ strategies needed IMHO
-
We have now used up our 9 lives. Teams will have looked at how Bristol City stopped and beat us and will apply that process. We have even confirmed why we have lost on our own website. Time to change how the team plays. Our strategy is known by all and is no longer a winning one.

Honour Markus by winning league pull together and why not change the red band to a red band with a black border for the season?
-
Shocked, stunned and a little fearful. RIP you are now truly a saint Markus

No I think the maths are against us. There are 33 points up for grabs for Saints and Colchester. 30 for Millwall. For us to get to a play off place we have to hope that Colchester and Millwall drop 16 and 15 points respectively more than us in their next 10 / 11 games so we can nick their spot on goal difference (hopefully) by us winning every game e.g. Southampton 47+33 = 80 winning every game Colchester 63+33 = 96 winning every game Millwall 65+30=95 winning every game I know this is a bit crude in terms of calculation but although I would love us to make it I can't see us out-pointing those teams to that extent. if Rupert had put us in administration one week before he did we would'nt have had the 10 points deducted from the start of the season - it would have been left behind - that makes me spit!!!

Nah Liebherr does not even rate - Forbes starts at $1bn and Marcus is not there. I have too much time at the moment!!
