Created so much space for Tadic etc to operate Wanyama-I remember a time when we used to bully every other midfield in the league and he was the main reason for that. Made Morgan, Fonte, Davis look like absolute world beaters

A lot of big transfers now require a lump sum fee paid to the agent which needs to be negotiated separately to transfer fee/wages. If a player's dream move is blocked because of the agent's fee, I hope the player would begin to call them out

Academies are looking for that 1 in a thousand diamond that can make it at a high level of the sport and will sell that dream to the parents and the player. The parents, unfortunately, get sucked in and expend a lot of money and emotional energy on their son to do well. I can't imagine the level of pressure of a child to succeed when the reality is they are very unlikely to make it. If you are one of the 999 that don't make it in your late teens the chances are you don't have that level of education to fall back on. I'm not sure what the answer is but I enjoyed the documentary
