  1. When was a Saints Manager last nominated? Koeman I assume
  2. Genuinely the best part about being rubbish for the last 2 and a half years
  3. One little thing in that article which annoys me, and it shouldn't, but the Derby cup game does not go down as a defeat but a draw in the official books, so we've lost 3 of 10 games since he's been here
  4. Something I noticed yesterday-none of our starting 11 are in their thirties. JWP, Højbjerg, Stephens, Redmond and Stephens already feel like senior pros and none are over the age of 24
  5. Our 3rd round replay v Ipswich in 2015 was on BBC too. At the risk of cursing it, we've only lost one of our last 21 FA cup ties against lower league opposition (Bristol Rovers 2008 I think)
  6. Went along to Fulham yesterday. Buckets of missed chances, finally took the lead and then conceded 10 minutes later to squander a very winnable game Felt very Saints like
  7. It will be 217 days since our last home win on Saturday. Gunning for Sunderland's record of 364
  8. Sunderland hold the all time English League record for longest time between home wins: 364 days We're up to 198 and counting
  9. Interesting that they state Wilson is highly regarded and will take on a more prominent role
  10. White to leave as coach at the end of his contract, which might be best for all involved. Get Dimi back!
  11. All wrapped up this morning-absolutely vital win. Not completely out of the woods yet but Lancashire and Worcs look in the most trouble.
  12. 21 wickets in the day (and counting) at Taunton!
  13. We don't have to name the team until the toss, which has yet to take place because of rain in Essex. I'm hoping the England setup told Vince in decent time so he can drive up to Chelmsford
  14. Great result against Notts. Other results mean it's basically a two way tussle for the title and a 6 team bunfight to avoid relegation
  15. Celtic live such an odd, pointless existence these days
  16. I know none of this is revelatory, but I spoke to someone in the construction sector involved in the Spurs' stadium and it was never ever ever going to be ready for the start of the season or even the September games. They obviously didn't advertise this at the time because that would cause concern and would impact on season ticket sales. Basically Spurs panicked around the start of the year realising they were miles behind schedule and started hiring extra contractors to help out. This caused costs to spiral and has obviously had an impact on their ability to act in the transfer market. The club and the league agreed they would start their 'home' games after the October international break, subject to safety sign off September/October time. Even then, the stadium will be unfinished and there will be exposed concrete etc. If they fail that test then they're looking at a 2019 start date Bit of a nightmare really
  17. Big game against a depleted Yorkshire starting today. If Steyn, Abbott and Berg can't make the pink ball talk under lights we may as well all go home
  18. Good start and finish, tough Christmas period as ever
  19. Group winners host the semi final and one more win will probably see us top the group Worth noting that neither of the group winners last year made the final though
  20. Genuinely can't remember the last time we beat Essex
  21. Vince not picked by England so looks like we'll have him for the whole season after all
  22. That could go south very quickly and it will be very amusing
  23. Staying up with 7 wins, 5 of which were against clubs that were an utter shambles at the time. That is impressive in itself. If we're in any doubt about the size of the task ahead, I went through the 30 listed first team squad and felt 19 could/should leave. Major, major work needed starting with a contract for Hughes this week. No delays
  24. draw tonight. We're 1-0 up on Sunday before conceding a soft 45th minute equaliser and then a cross/shot goes all the way through in the 67th minute. We don't have another shot on target and go down after Swansea draw with Stoke Yay
  25. The league was won with a record points total, and that team went out to Liverpool in the Champions League
