  1. I think Alcaraz and JWP should swap. I know getting JWP closer to goal has been the plan recently but we’re desperate for composure coming out from the back and Alcarazzamatazz looks more attack minded.
  2. Good question - I’d probably run a raffle from the light show wristbands and let ten lucky fans try their best.
  3. I'd really like to see something like this: New Signing New Signing - New Signing - New Signing - New Signing New Signing - JWP New Signing - New Signing - New Signing New Signing
  4. Good chance for him to Begin Again.
  5. “We are looking forward to getting started together." It's this kind of cut-through, real talk that really inspires the fans.
  6. I didn't understand any of this interaction at all, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
  7. Is a french press a reliable source?
  8. I know that a piece of the hamstring is the most common type of graft used in an ACL reconstruction so it can cause hamstring issues, though I think Tino’s issue with his other leg. Would be strange to take a graft out of the other leg I think. I had my ACL done with a patella tendon graft that the surgeon said had a longer recovery but better long term prospects and it’s never given me a moments grief, coming up to 11 years. As for over compensation I found the opposite to be true - my uninjured leg got much stronger after being on crutches etc and because of the muscle loss my reconstructed leg was more injury prone. Obviously my slapshod rehab a decade ago wasn’t on par with a premier league footballer though. Just as likely he just went too hard in training I’d say.
  9. A guy on a train told me you can also download a program called "Calibre" which makes any downloadable ebook format compatible with Kindle and makes it easy to upload it too. He said it was a very easy to use and reliable program. He said to google "calibre kindle" but I didn't independently verify this for fear of lingering Y2K virus particles.
  10. get both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. this was immense. thank you.
  12. Good way to celebrate the war ending I guess
  13. Wow - so obvious!! - just play it on repeat for 90 minutes! Nice pickup.
  14. I was thinking "Me and Mrs/Nathan Jones"
  15. In one of these articles it says this: " The world got a glimpse of Luton’s dogged determination and tremendous tenacity in their recent FA Cup bout against the European champions Chelsea. Despite falling to a late Romelu Lukaku strike, the Hatters fought tooth and nail for every ball, going toe-to-toe with the English giants and showing their quality as well as their tactical discipline." Did anyone watch this game? Was there anything in it that could offer us a tiny sliver of optimism? I get that they just lost to Stoke but every team loses - if he has the ability to get a Championship team playing well against Chelsea may be there is just something positive about him being overlooked?
  16. unrelated: not sure if i've heard this already or it came to me in a dream but i thought the song "evie" nearly works for tino: tino tino tino livramento <insert final syllable> tino livramento's back? tino livramento's ours etc etc
  17. a wet fart in an elevator is very funny imo
  18. Seriously meta stuff. That link goes to their forum, which goes back to our forum. Personal highlight is this: "Negative side is that we’re replacing one donkey with another donkey... Stephans will want to be in our first 11, but from what I’ve seen of him over the years is that he is a massive liability." Hilarious stuff. To be honest I think it's a good move for him and the club. Seems likeable, had his moments, can obviously play but will probably never be more in the prem than last choice at a club like ours. Will be interesting to see how he copes with the aerial ball in the championship (not that I'll be watching).
  19. I welcome the addition of any CB with face tattoos.
  20. Love this training kit, at least that's something
  21. I also reckon there was a weigh up between Ings staying and Bertrand staying ... I'm sure some of the cash saved off Bertie's contract will beef up Danny's new offer.
  22. El Classicoast?
  23. Boufhead?
  24. I agree with this - it seems to me Ralph's problem has been trying to make changes too quickly, too suddenly, and often underestimating how easily other teams will exploit our uncertainty. It was the same when he arrived - he dramatically changed the system altogether twice instead of incrementally. I think he is trying to get the whole team playing to this system with the idea that when Salisu is fit, he will slot in and hit the ground running and it will all work a little bit better. But we are sacrificing confidence and points and good memories of last season in the meantime, so I think slowly slowly is better. I trust Ralph, but I am worried he is experiencing what Koeman did - wants to stay and improve the club, not being supported financially to do so, is feeling frustrated by that.
