Well yeah but that's partly because we had no decent cover. Don't know what the stats are but we seemed perfectly fine when we had Wanyama and Cork playing the year before. It's similar to everyone making out how amazing Forster is because we've leaked more goals since he's been injured, whereas it's just because the alternatives are w#nk. Schneiderlin's better then Lallana but Lallana will continue to be our biggest loss imo.

Looks way better going forward then Morgan, probably leave us a bit more exposed at the back but that's what Vic's there for so meh, we need someone who can open defenses up a bit more.

Quality signing, as much as everyone likes to jerk off over Morgan, Clasie seems a similar class of player. If we sign Clasie for £10mill and get £25mill for Morgan that's crazy business, money left over to buy Austin, yeah sure.

I've no problem with that but a club of our size shouldn't be paying £10+mill on anyone over 26 unless they're exceptional, it's a waste of money. For the older players we should be aiming for past their best hallmark players, or players for a couple of mill like Steven Davis or Lambert. Vlaar would fall into that category.

I liked Reed's description of us as a showcase club, pretty much saying we're a shop window for promising players to go on to bigger things. It's the exact strategy we should be taking as a club, as long as we keep buying low and selling high we'll pull away from the mid table clubs and start chasing down the top 6. We've now assembled a squad of multimillion pound players essentially paid for by the top 6. This is my worry when we sign players like Pelle and Long who are only likely to devalue, Soares and Juanmi are exactly the type of players we should be looking to sign. If we can get just one player to become top class and go for a huge fee (£60mill+) we'll be set up for a long time as a top 8 team.

Pretty sure being in the top for 90% of the season and finishing 7th would be considered competing for the top 6. Stadium size is irrelevant, our academy more then makes up for the difference in attendance.

This is the main problem I have with the whole thing, it makes as look like amateurs, especially after publicly saying how confident we were of Clyne signing a new deal too. I don't see how the club can't comprehend how much that would **** fans off, especially after being pretty liberal with the truth in their statements last summer as well. I'm sure we'll get a replacement who's just as good and have a good season again, but f#ck me the club are awful at PR when it comes to transfers.

Losing Clyne, Toby and Schneiderlin is easily as bad as losing Shaw, Lovren and Lallana. Absolutely abysmal by Saints if we managed to f#ck this one up.

It'd be phenomenally poor if we let him go to Spurs for £11mill, after he made it clear he's happy to stay here. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt at the moment that we'll end up getting him for £6mill and mug off Athletico and Spurs in the process but if it doesn't happen it's a huge f#ck up by Saints.

We're not gonna sign another keeper, Koeman pretty much said as much the other day. We'll sign Toby, Schneiderlin's replacement and an AM imo. Toby will be our next signing if I had to guess, hopefully we released Osvaldo to free up wages for him.

Why's everyone being so nice to him? He's a complete tosser and has acted easily as bad as Lallana. He didn't opt to stay last season, we made him. He spouted off pretty much weekly throughout the season about how he wanted to leave. Screw the French ponce, he's gonna be yet another flop.

Tadic had a better season then Lallana last year and was moving to a new league. I don't like Pelle in the slightest but Lambert was finished when we sold him, I disliked him just as much during his last season for us. Mane and Toby are leagues ahead of any of the players we sold.

£24m isn't a great deal tbh, considering he's our most important player and isn't running out of contract anytime soon. We should be asking for £30mill+. £12mill for Clynes fair enough, he's pretty mediocre
