  1. https://streameast.app/soccer/southampton-plymouth-argyle/34705395 This has been rock-solid first half.
  2. I think we all know we won't be spending €30m on anybody while we're in the Championship. I am expecting a one-in-one-out policy. Whether Adams has already been replaced with Stewart or if we'd bring somebody else in is yet to be seen.
  3. Bree starts over Manning and we win, Manning starts and it's a draw at best...
  4. Lots and lots of lessons that need to be learned from that.
  5. 90+5', 1-1, defending a corner... why do we have everyone back in our own box? Surely leave Edozie and Fraser up the pitch?
  6. Mara and Alcaraz on, A.Armstrong and Smallbone off. Aribo will play the full 90 (!!).
  7. Lost count of the number of times I've shouted "where the fuck is Manning?!" at the screen.
  8. How the fuck has Aribo avoided being subbed?
  9. Very odd team selection tonight, I'm not surprised we're losing. Manning's deficiencies are well-known, his positioning is genuinely shocking but nobody seems to pick him up on this. No idea what Bree did wrong to get dropped (I do, he's not the manager's mate). I like Charles, I think he's a good player, but I have no idea why he's playing as our marauding box-to-box midfielder, he's not good enough going forward. Smallbone is doing his job, and not very well. Aribo has shown he's absolutely useless out wide over the last two years, he had 1.5 decent games playing in the centre of midfield, so for some reason he's been out on the left, where he has been actively detrimental. Adams' best performances for us were when he was playing with Ings, coming short and playing quick passes. We're playing with two strikers again, but for some reason Adams and A.Armstrong are never anywhere near each other. S.Armstrong and KWP have been our only good players, but they are overcompensating for having to do everything themselves. The whole team not helped by Bednarek having his worst game all season.
  10. Shame he can't do anything else.
  11. Really really hate Manning taking corners from the far side. They're not even very good corners!
  12. Great goal from KWP, we're lucky to have a player like him. When a team are defending so well and so rigidly, having a player that can pop up out of position and do that is invaluable.
  13. I'm genuinely amazed at how often Manning is out of position, he seems desperate to play in midfield!
  14. If this is based on last season's finances, what are the chances of Saints/Leeds/Leicester kicking up a fuss and starting a legal battle? 10 point deduction applied to last season would have them in 19th (1 point ahead of us!) and Leicester would have survived.
  15. I agree with you, but worth remembering that Fraser is a loan.
  16. Didn't take many games to work out that Manning's shit, just who should replace him.
  17. I think this will be our toughest game for some time, sounds like the kind of team we are bad against - sit deep, very effective on the counter attack. A win and I will start believing that second place is possible...
  18. Tino starts for Newcastle in their CL group match away at Dortmund.
  19. Delighted to see Tino have a good game, I really hope he can get some more game time as the season goes on. Interesting that Trippier came on in the second half at LB to allow Tino to stay at RB. He will be in the England squad before long.
  20. 4-4-fackin'-2. Not that I disagree with you about the ball-recycling midfield, Smallbone in particular, but I'm not sure two up top is the solution, particularly when the only options are Adams and Armstrong. Armstrong is not good enough as a 9, marginally better coming off the wing but if it were up to me, he'd be warming the bench.
  21. Manning is proper shite in all areas, offensively and defensively. Need Larios back ASAP. Feel for Bazunu, another goal conceded he could do nothing about.
  22. Christ I miss being in the PL.
  23. I've had an electric car (MG 4 Trophy) for about 4 months now, I've been very impressed and had no issues. We got it because it was the cheapest electric car with decent range (~240 miles), and as we got it through a work scheme via Octopus, came with a home charger installed for free (should be around £1k). Since we got the car we've switched to the Intelligent Octopus tariff which lets you charge overnight for 1/4 the cost without increasing the rest of your energy like a typical Economy 7 tariff would. No regrets, electric cars go like nothing else and I don't miss going to petrol stations at all. I think in the 4 months we've had it we've needed to stop and charge at a public charger three times, all for a 10 minute top up to add 50 miles to get home. It can be a pain (Exeter services was awful, had to wait for a working charger for about 20 minutes) but they are expanding everywhere all the time, and charging at a public charger works out around the same price-per-mile as petrol.
  24. People on here have a much higher opinion of Downes than I feel he's earned in his showings for us so far.
  25. We looked much better defensively since Bednarek came on and Charles went in to midfield (what a fucking shock). Shame we can't score for toffee.
