  1. Diallo makes some really nice turns under pressure.
  2. Close one, no conviction in Armstrong's shot though!
  3. Dan Burn at LB feels a lot like Bednarek at RB...
  4. I’m enjoying Hughes about as much as a pundit as I did as a manager. So dull and can barely get a complete sentence out. COYS 3-0 win.
  5. Dropped out of the playoff places too.
  6. First time I've watched West Brom since we played them earlier this season, they are utter shite. No chance of them staying up.
  7. Chelsea really have spent an extraordinary amount of money on a lot of bang-average players. Almost makes our recruitment look competent.
  8. If they win would that be enough for Jackett to get a contract extension?
  9. Forster or McCarthy? For me the answer is obvious. Which ever one isn't currently playing.
  10. Don't get the criticism for McCarthy (apart from the non-pen) or Salisu - we're playing against some of the best players in the world, doesn't mean our players are suddenly "not good enough". Let's not kid ourselves that Forster would have saved any of their goals.
  11. If we could stop making stupid mistakes we'd be 1-0 up. Great finish to be fair.
  12. Sky showing that McCarthy didn't actually touch Foden when they had their penalty claim. There goes another honest English player! He'll be falling over at every opportunity now.
  13. Mossy is on our side for sure, just given us a soft free kick in JWP range!
  14. Ah well.
  15. Very interested to see how Salisu gets on at LB, he's been mentioned there a few times on here. I guess Stephens in midfield should give the full backs some more confidence to go forwards.
  16. Bizarre, yes, but the correct decision was reached for each incident surely? Haaland was fouled, refs didn't spot it and VAR can't intervene until the next time the ball goes out of play - which happened to be a long passage of play, and the ball only went out of play when a goal was scored. They looked at the goal first, deemed that to be a foul so overturned the goal (seems harsh to me but that's how the onfield referee saw it), then went back to review the penalty incident. Penalty given, keeper clearly off his line to save it, rules say it has to be retaken. Yes it interrupted the flow of the game, and it was a very odd series of events to happen in a row, but what's the alternative? Stop the play every time a striker goes down in the box in case it's a penalty? And give a drop ball or something if it's not? Or ignore it completely because of the amount of time passed, and just deny BVB the goal and ignore the penalty?
  17. What time does Appy get here? No chance we see anything other than 4-2-2-2, expecting Bednarek or Djenepo at RB again.

Out for the Bournemouth game then.
  19. Can't wait until they are no longer a part of British society. Positives: we get two bank holidays when Queenie goes, at least one more for Charles after her and then hopefully nobody will give enough of a shit after him and they can quietly fade into the background...
  20. Looking forward to the Sleeping Giant derby tomorrow - Portsmouth coming in to it with 1 win in 6, Sunderland have won 5 of their last 6. Could drop out of the play off places if other results go against them. Presumably Mr Disney can't afford to sack Jackett and will have to wait until his contract is up at the end of the season?
  21. Some of you lot have a very interesting definition of "tap in".
  22. Redmond is the right choice to bring on, what better time to play a guy in poor form and low on confidence?
  23. I was worried Armstrong was offside but clearly not, fantastic goal. The workrate in the build up was excellent too.
  24. I don't think Vestergaard will mind too much!
