http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/west-brom-manager-tim-sherwood-3532973 Malky is also on WBA's radar supposedly... A lot of demand for a man who wasted 31m last summer, only managing one good signing.

Ray Houghton posts on here?

You can't talk of not liking it when people say "That's a lot of money, we should take it." (which was putting words in my mouth BTW), when the people who look to have come to that conclusion is the Southampton FC board. All we as fans can do is wonder what will be done with the money we will receive and my post was merely me offering an opinion on how I would reinvest the money back into the squad. Some tetchy people around this morning....

So, you still believe the sale of Shaw and Lallana is not on the cards?
-
I realise that, maybe I should have been clearer and explained that I just meant a player with similar attributes even though they will likely not be of the same quality.
-
With Shaw and Lallana looking likely to be gone now, have to think that at the very least they have to assure MP that the money received will be invested into transfers to stand any chance of convincing him to sign.
-
It will be a disappointment for us if Shaw and Lallana are indeed sold as seems likely, however if (big IF IMO) the combined fees of those two, plus hopefully Osvaldo is taken and reinvested in the squad wisely the end result could be a stronger squad overall. In terms of what we need Real competition for Boruc First choice LB A physically commanding CB who has that extra power and pace Lovren/Fonte don't have. One starting CF with pace and another as backup A Lallana replacement.

EDIT: Disregard, already answered.

Joe Batchelor @Joe_Batchelor 1m Lallana: "Every fan would realise there is big potential in our team and we have players who can go and play at a higher level."
-
Joe Batchelor @Joe_Batchelor 33s Lallana: "I got emotional (at the awards) because it's a journey I couldn't have dreamed of but i'm not saying this is the end by any means" Lallana: "There are going to be some decisions to make in the summer and maybe it all hit home a little bit when I was speaking."
-
What did he say?
-
At 26 he is entering what most consider a player's prime years, so if it isn't this summer it will be the next one.

Neil Ashton?

For those who don't know what this is about, here are the sources for the topic. Adam Blackmore (a couple of weeks ago, when Shaw/Lallana to United was supposed to be virtually a done deal): Simon Peach: For completion's sake, Alex Crook
-
When someone asked Peach if the rumour was true, his response was "I don't think it's a rumour"
-
A very good suggestion. Other suggestions: Seen a bit of talk that Poyet has a break clause in his contract that comes into play at the end of the season and he is being cagey on his future, rumour is he may be eyeing up the West Ham job. Might not go down well with some fans though given past remarks about the team, also the way his time at Brighton ended may suggest questionable mental strength. David Moyes? out of work as we all know. People shouldn't let his season at Man U undermine the job he did at Everton, I'd have him here without question if Poch leaves. As for lower league, Eddie Howe perhaps? Pompey past may sour some, but you can't deny the job he has done at Bournemouth.

Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport 25m @sparkythebabler @Ekelund24 All seems messy because they've offered him a contract and he hasn't signed it & players are in the dark

Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport 5m So I asked #saintsfc Mauricio Pochettino a few questions about contract talks for him & certain players - interview up @solentsport ASAP

Lallana should be commanding a higher fee than anyone else at this club, even Shaw. Plays in a position that tends to command higher fees, contributes more to the team and at the beginning of his prime. £20 million would be an insult
-
"I want to keep progressing with the club" - Adam Lallana
-
If Ashton has managed to get a hold of the two big stories doing the rounds tonight (funnily enough, timed perfectly to overshadow Les Reed's statement) I'm fairly confident this is Cortese and Co's masterwork. Would not surprise me if NC is trying to unsettle players/fans in an attempt to turn them against KL and encourage her to sell up.
