  1. Les knows how to treat 'em!
  2. Photo allegedly showing de Boer, his agent and Les Reed amongst others outside St. Mary's. Very blurry and not close enough for earlobe analysis.
  3. Press officer keeping himself busy.
  4. Mirror saying De Boer, Giggs, Howe and Martinez are in the frame.
  5. Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport 36s37 seconds ago Koeman was happy with new contract offer from #saintsfc & key players signed new deals, 5yr plan agreed - then he got a new agent #nuffsaid
  6. Koeman doesn't need to meet with efc personally until Saints give him permission, the question that should be asked is whether the agent has been talking with Everton.
  7. Lots of experience managing in European competition, won trophies, hates Neil Ashton. AVB would be a good choice.
  8. Yeah, that is the main potential downside.
  9. Look forward to speculating all weekend.
  10. Did he? If thats the case we should approach him if he is a free agent.
  11. Gary Neville's attempt at the Valencia job suggests he perhaps needs to learn the ropes in the Championship or something before having another go in a top league. Howe would be a good fit IMO, though I suspect that convincing him to break his contract or convincing Bournemouth to let him go could be difficult and take ages. Flores might be ok, but Watford's drop in form in the second half of the season suggests he might be a bit of a risk. De Boer? Done well in Holland, appears that he wants a job in England, but untested outside Holland. Sampaoli? Could be brilliant but I'm not sure we are big enough to tempt him away from international management.
  12. When was the last time the DE had a Saints story that wasn't fed to them by the club?
  13. Didn't Guan say KBilly told him about this new strategy then remark that it was up to KBSS to talk about it?
  14. Laudrup would be a huge gamble IMO, the last months of his stay at Swansea suggest he crumbles if things aren't going well. His time at other clubs suggest he is always quick to breakaway and take a time out.
  15. Let's stall until David Moyes has something new and Steve Bruce commits to Hull, just for the sake of safety. I would include Tim Sherwood but I doubt any PL club will give him another shot for a long time.
  16. Don't forget Steve Bruce...but the club was a less attractive option during that summer.
  17. No need for meltdown if it happens, we are in a good position to attract a good replacement if Koeman decides to take the money and run. RK would be up there with Lallana, Lovren and Pochettino on the ****list though.
  18. The article itself is yet another story saying Moshiri thinks he can turn RK's head with lots of money and a big transfer budget. It also says contract talks with us have hit a block, but does not elaborate on that.

  20. Pochettino sat with Long's agent at the Ireland game apparently.

  22. Going to sign a 2 year deal according to Mirror http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ronald-koeman-snub-everton-sign-8042506
  23. Simone Zaza http://www.insidefutbol.com/2016/05/22/west-ham-and-southampton-keen-as-frustrated-simone-zaza-set-for-juventus-future-talks/286910/
  24. What is the fascination with Sisto? He did well in a couple of Europa league games, but his domestic record is nowhere near impressive enough to suggest he can replace Mané. I'd have him here as a squad option, but not as a starter.
  25. Pelle - No surprise, wrong side of 30, one year left and little noise from the club suggesting they have offered him a new deal. The addition of Austin seemed to be in preparation for letting him go, though Austin's injury problems mean he has not made an instant impact. Let's say £8m Wanyama - Last year of deal and tried to force his way out last summer, will be a big miss, but not an unexpected departure. £15m Mané - Great player when he's on form, should be able to command a huge fee, definitely will be a big miss £35m Juanmi - Bad move for both sides £2m Tadic - Given his assist record and ability to chip in with goals (albeit, not as many as he could if he didn't waste so many chances), he will be a big miss for a cluib like ours. On the other hand, his poor finishing and tendency to drift in and out of games means that he is unlikely to be more than a squad player in better teams. £17m 8m 2m 15m 17m 35m Total 77m That is a large amount to spend on replacing them, but with the rise in tv money and new sponsorship deals it will be rather disappointing if the club only commits to reinvesting the money raised from sales.
