Let me think about this. Hull based oop north where the weather is always ****e. Only good thing about the place is a rather splendid example of bridge building. A football team who are & will be perennial strugglers whose realistic place is as a good Championship side, ala Reading. Where as THE MIGHTY SAINTS are the greatest exponents of the beautiful game, the team who brought football to Brasil ( who still wear a kit similar to our best away kit) and are able to boast some of the best players ever to play in England! (okay maybe not that last point). A team based in the beautiful south where as Hull had a band called the beautiful south. A team whose only FA cup win was so important that even the hot weather decided to stay around for a very long time to celebrate. so on the whole No I do not want to swap places with Hull!

But surely that's the point. He IS our main striker not a provider. He should be the one getting on the end of these crosses etc but his lack of pace is starting to mean he has to change his game from striker to provider. Hope he does score for England as it may give him some confidence as it appears to me that he is lacking in it.

Lambert was unplayable in L1 & championship. Was good last season, but I feel that this season has maybe been a season too far as a striker. Playing in the 10 role he is still class almost sheringham esque but he doesn't have the young target man goal poacher working off of him & he is getting nowhere near the goals expected of him. This is by no means me having a pop at him the guys a legend but I feel maybe it's time to say thanks for the outstanding service and let him move on. Tin hat donned awaiting incoming.

Playing entertaining football is all well and good but points are what's needed. Our easy start to the season has allowed us to be in a decent position now, however without a killer instinct we will struggle as teams now know how to play against us. Yes we will run rings around lots of teams but without that ability to kill games off then we will be just playing attractive football whilst trying to stay clear of the bottom 3 & not vying for a place in Europe.

Before the start of the season I had us down for a rather optimistic 63 points. not totally out of the question now though with a few winable games to come.I think around the 54 points mark will be where we end up.

Right NC did some great things for this club but he was only an employee. KL owns the club players and manager work for the club if MP leaves is it really going to make much difference in the grand scheme of things? I would be more worried if KL left, it's their money that has got us where we are. People are bed wetting over nothing. The club goes on!

He & Hooiveld were utter tripe today, all 3 goals were scored due to their inability to defend. More to the point though why oh why was Fonte not playing? Does MoPo not like playing a proven CB pairing?
