CONFIRMED - Mane joins Liverpool for £34m + £2m addons
berkshiresaint replied to toe_punt's topic in The Saints
Got a funny feeling he will sign a new improved deal in the very near future. -
Please please please
-
There is no way he would ever come here! Would f*&cking love it if it were true though.
-
He's taken a team to 2nd in the league, Champions league football & possibly on to greater things. Apart from that he has done nothing & yes even though I think RK is great I would have him back here.
-
If we want to be perennial struggler's then yes you are correct Pearson would be good. However if we want to improve then maybe he is not the man.

It is true what they say Harry, your face really does look like a set of testicles.

I haven't laughed so hard in ages, F**king *****

At what point would you walk out of a Saints game?
berkshiresaint replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
I wouldn't walkout as that doesn't achieve anything, the best way to protest is to simplyt not go to games. As for the pricing it is clearly too much for what is essentially only 90 minutes entertainment, that price is withouth travelling costs, food, drink, programme etc & that is per person. Taking the kids to a game nowadays & you are into a couple of hundred quid per game, i don't care what anyone says that is too much. -
Both of them fully deserve the award but, Potch & Deli Ali will win.

What teams do you go to watch apart from Saints?
berkshiresaint replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
Windsor are my local team, Maidenhead just seems to have a better atmosphere though. -

Maidenhead Utd. -
Dare I say it but Romeo will be just fine as a replacement, if not slightly better.

You could have just ended that sentence there.

Wanyama Transfer Rumours - Summer 2015 Edition
berkshiresaint replied to brett24's topic in The Saints
Let him go! If players don't want to stay here then that's fine. FWIW my take on this whole situation, as much as we as love this club and as much as we would all love to be a to six club the truth of the matter is that Southampton FC is a to 8-16 club it will never be any better even with a billionaire owner who doesn't like keeping their billions in their pocket, this is down to the lovin between sky & the top 6 teams. All of those teams are bigger than us with more fans, money, international recognition & bigger revenue streams, that is why we will always struggle to keep our best players. As for the "why can't we recruit better players" questions again I refer to my remarks above. -
An absolute must
-
This is an attempt at irony or comedy isn't it? The guy will be one of the top 10 midfielders in the league this season.
-
He's certainly one for the future, he was in the Austria tour squad getting on the bench for the Audi cup matches. He's a good controller of the ball and works really hard on his fitness etc.

I don't believe in all this "he wants to live in London" rubbish. The huge majority of footballers who play for London teams live in either Berkshire, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire or Hampshire so that argument holds very little sway. The reason they join the London clubs is because like it or not they are all bigger than Southampton, as much as we all like to bleat on about how far we have come ( a truly long way) we are & always will be a provincial club fighting for the scraps of a mid table finish with the occasional good cup run. If we can get some little gems to come & play for us then that is great but, these gems will always go on to bigger & better teams at which point we rebuild & start again, this will be the way of things until some major changes in English football take place & that is not likely to happen in the near future. So we get up off the floor, brush ourselves down & go again, TA is replaceable & I trust the Black Box to find us another little gem.

If this is true about AM not exercising their right to cancel the agreement, then the player becomes the property of SFC (once the agreed fee has been paid). This means that AM have no legal right over Toby so any deal done between them & any other party that is not SFC will become nul & void. If AM do not accept the monetary transaction (as seems the most obvious stumbling block) then SFC can ask a court to transfer the players registration to them on receipt of the pre-agreed sum. The only real options for AM are 1. fully comply with the pre-agreed contract 2. face legal action. By the way the contract will be water tight as lawyers love nothing better than being anal when it comes to this sort of thing.

Elia arrived in January having not played for some time, even some of the greatest players struggle to settle in their first season let alone in 5 months. Give him a good pre season & once his family are settled then I think we will see the real Elia, be that a good signing or not. In Koeman we trust!

Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official
berkshiresaint replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Don't really care about Clyne leaving. Like it or not but Liverpool is a step up from us. He will be & indeed has already been replaced. I think RK may know a bit more about what the plan for the season ahead is than the ****tards on here, if he's happy for NC to leave then so be it. I'm not going to justify my loyalty to saints (as seems the thing to do nowadays if you don't toe the party line)
