Getting back on track to any potential new owners, a hypothetical question: What type of new owner would people like? 1. A multi billionaire Government fund from some dodgy country as per Newcastle. 2. A multi billionaire dodgy individual like Man City 3. A billionaire who wants us as a play thing much like Chelsea 4. A multi millionaire local with ties to the club with enough money to invest every year to aid transfers & make improvements to the stadium 5. Something else For me I would be happy with number 4. I was born & brought up in Southampton, I joined the Army at 16 & traveled round the Country/World. I now live in a wonderful part of the Country & only go back to Southampton for football or the occasional Christmas shopping spree. I hate to break it to some people but Southampton really is a shit hole.

Buying cheap & selling high, believing all the hype about how good a job you are doing, not having the ability to realise when you have made a mistake, changing a system that has proved fruitful in the recent past & not investing properly in the club.

I think it is Ms Liebherr's fault as such or even the new owners fault. I believe the fault sits squarely with Les Reed, he has messed up the last 2 or 3 transfer windows. He messed up the Toby A situation with his dithering, he sold all our top players & has failed to replace some of the more important players, Mane, Fonte & VVD. He allowed Koeman to go & replaced him with the wrong managers who he has allowed to move away from our 433 set up to a 451 version. The 433 set up was a very strong & successful way of playing football & served this club well over the last 5/6 years. He worked wonders in the rise from L1 but i feel this was mainly due to the support he had from above, since that support went & was replaced by Ralph Reed has been found out. his refusal to now act & replace the manager will see this club go back down.

as an aside, how would people feel if we went down to the Championship next season then down to L1 the following season with a -10 point deficit & an unknown benefactor comes in to save the club & sets us on a 5 year plan to get to the champions league and we achieve back to back promotions all over again?

1. Stop the club from this stupid idea of doing everything behind closed doors & keeping their cards close to their chests & start treating the fans as though they actually have an interest in the club & in what is going on. 2. Sack Ralph, Les, MoPe & whoever ii is who keeps deleting all the good players from the black box. 3. Bring in someone who knows about tactics & how they can influence a game & how to manage a group of under-performing footballers. 4. STOP selling any decent player we may have & replacing them with inferior types year on year. 5. try to spend money on players we need now & not just on the ones who will be worth the most in a few years time. 6. Spend some F*&king money. 7 Bring in Liz Hurley as a match day pitch-side announcer. at least that way we can all have something worth looking at instead of the dross they are providing now.

Get Brendan Rodgers down here, he can bring Dembele with him

He will cost an awful amount of money & will bring goals from the AM role which is something we are definitely in need off but I don't think he will be the best option for us. I would much rather take Giroud & Willshire off of them, admittedly both are injury prone but they would bring lots of goals with them & suit our style of play much better, Giroud would be the big target man ala Sir Rickie & Willshire will feed the strikers from midfield

Out he can take Black, Watson, Reed & Ralph with him too. Some of those have done wonders for the club but are now steering this club in to dire straights. Bring in either the ginger Mourinho or Brendan Rodgers. Also bring back Sammy Lee to instil some passion back in to the team.

We are only 3 games in to the season, we will improve & we will slump over the season as per every year. The manager & team need time,all these things are minor,what isn't minor is our lack of goals, we need a striker who will give us 20 goals a season, not someone who is good in another countries league but someone who has done the business in the premier league. It is time for Les to spend big & get Bony in.
