  1. Well they took my money!
  2. Has anybody else not received there tickets yet? I have emailed the ticket office twice. Spoken to them after a number of attempts and they have promised to send them but still nothing.
  3. I am a realist Lord D - if we have a striker who scores twenty goals a season he leaves for a bigger club. What we want is strikers who score 12-14 goals and we have a chance of keeping them. In strikers terms Prowsey is a 12-14 goals player and better still he came up through the youth system and is a club loyalist. Who are you going to bring in another Lemina?
  4. When a new signing walks into our dressing room Ward Prowse is somebody who lets them know why it is an honour and a privilege to put our shirt on. He understands the culture of our club. He is 'our level' plus and his contribution around the club makes him invaluable to us. He is somebody you want about the club. What price do you put on that? I had hoped Danny Ings would also be in that mold but sadly not and I am convinced our run of bad form was down to his lack of commitment behind the scenes changing the momentum of the team after Christmas. I don't begrudge him that, it is football but I salute Ward Prowse for his commitment.
  5. Before I drive 600 miles down from Scotland on Sunday for the game; I just have to show a photo of my vaccination card with both vaccines. My 13 year old son just needs to turn up???
  6. Thank you so much Saint Reece
  7. I don't suppose anybody knows how to put tickets on the Exchange when we cannot go?
  8. and a really good guy who would have made Saints a great dressing room to come into. I really liked Shane Long.
  9. So easy to be classy its sad so many struggle to hit the right note.
  10. Fair enough. He has always behaved professionally with us. His move to Villa is ultimately a career move and as a footballer you have a short window to make your money. I could get sentimental and the romantic side of me hoped that as a local boy he would sacrifice the big money to be a club icon but we always knew Matty was an exception. Even Kane is playing up at Spurs. Realistically Danny was like a vintage car, a real classic and probably the best striker I have seen play for Saints and I have seen a few but like the car you were always waiting for him to breakdown. Good luck Danny, hope it goes OK but not brilliantly. I think we had the best of you.
  11. I think that Armstrong is a class act. Would I rather have Tadic, yes but it would be a close run thing.
  12. ....and when we released him as a schoolboy? Were we the snakes? I would understand his attitude if he left but I hope that he stays and becomes a legend like MLT. Sadly there are few players that turn down the money to stay loyal.
  13. Vestegarde's red was appalling, the Villa handball mind boggling, Bertrand's handball when he was trying to get his arm out of the way and was not even looking just bemusing, Bednarek's red against Man U, which cost us three goals absurd but probably the worst one was in our favour against City when McCarthy fouled Foden.
  14. Fair point but the commentator said they didn't. Believe me I tried to apply my non bias filter!
  15. Watch again. He makes a mistake, connects with the ball to make amends and gets enough on it to prevent a goal scoring opportunity. It was at full stretch. VAR should have checked it and it would have been a different decision. Why did VAR not even look at it?
  16. but a lot later of course
  17. Maybe you could google him?
  18. I am not sure I heard it during the documentary but I liked the Irish song when they Terry Phelan got injured. "We've lost that Terry Phelan".
  19. 1-1 West Brom 1979 and still got the bug!
  20. I think that is rather simplified. The older you are the less likely you are to have been to have studied for A levels or gone to University so if more older people voted leave than that exaggerates the variance between those that went to University and those that did not. As it happens I think you are probably right but it is not so black and white as you suggest.
  21. I was replying to a post you made about under 45s. You seem to have changed your sample size!
  22. It is interesting how perceptions are shaped. The vast majority of under 25s voted to remain but only a small majority of 25-49 year olds voted to remain
  23. If supply is the issue then that invalidate my suggestion!
