  1. We’ve said no to bids coming in. How is that selling our soul? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Surely we will only do business if it means we can use the funds to bring in a striker. And if we haven’t got the time to get a deal done for a striker, then can’t see the point at all in selling Targett. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. And the fact that he’s not interested in remedying the mistake by putting his hand in his pocket to sign another striker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. http:// https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/aug/08/premier-league-preview-southampton?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other Decent write-up from the Guardian who have us finishing 12th, which I would absolutely take.
  5. Interesting. Surely that would only happen if we had a striker lined up? Poster boy for the academy and all... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I may revise that come Sunday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. In terms of profile of striker that we need - someone who can hold the ball up or work the channels - I can’t think of many better than Welbeck, in terms of realistic signings. Getting Welbeck in would turn a half-decent window into a very good one IMO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Has scored zero goals in his last three season. Get him in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Howe has generally been awful at spending money. Bearing in mind a lot of our record transfers have flopped not sure why we need to be spending more than Bournemouth on a single player. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wasn’t he pictured having a medical at Napoli yesterday? Would be crazy for him to snub Napoli for us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. 3 year contract. Not a lot of protection for Palace if he does as well as expected. Still, a very good signing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Spurs having a bit of a mare so far. Having to advertise that Toby, Dembele and Rose are for sale. No sign of any imminent incomings either, just the usual links with Grealish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Let me guess...17th with Hoddle saving the day after Hughes is sacked? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hughes says Lemina has tonsillitis yet he was apparently on a plane from Manchester to Southampton. Sounds like excuses being made for him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Looking forward to singing that Enola Gay song a lot this coming season - Armstrong looks a very tidy player. And his hair is very fine too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yep. We should keep hold of him, he can cover both positions and also lay down a challenge for a starting place given Cedric is likely to miss first 1-2 games. McQueen looked lost playing there and won't be good enough cover if we aren't intending to sign a new RB.
  17. Trust the process, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Won’t a new 6’6’’ defender help with that? Any don’t our defensive issues predate Hughes rather than being ‘caused’ by him? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. West Ham have already spent £36m on Felipe Anderson who started 7 games last season for Lazio. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Ha. I thought he looked miserable when he first signed for us! Face like a slapped arse. I don’t necessarily want him to go but not a player I have any affection for, so I guess I’m pretty ambivalent about him leaving if we can upgrade in other areas (winger & CF). Not sure I could stomach it if the buying club is the Dildo bros though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Strange one. He is clearly a quality player and we’ve been crying out for a midfield player with his dynamism since Morgan left. However he is also a bit of a bellend and probably thinks he is better than the club. He’s also been incredibly inconsistent and on occasions (Wembley semi-final) a bit of a liability. I certainly wouldn’t shed any tears on a personal level if he were to leave, but there is a sense that we’d be selling him prematurely given that his value is only like to increase if we get a proper tune out of him for a full season. Selling to West Ham would send a pretty bad message out to our fan base as well in terms of where we see ourselves in the pecking order. Having said all that, if we manage to flog him for £35m + and reinvest in a couple of quality attacking players then maybe we’ll be better off without him. Big if though. 22. His Instagram profile now reads ‘trust the process’ which seems to have become a bit of an in-joke amongst our squad about players that are looking to move on. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if he was to leave tbh. Seems a bit of a sulky tit and recall him looking miserable even in his interview when he first signed. That said, if we sell him to the Dildo bro’s then that’s a pretty damning indictment of how far we’ve fallen in the last two seasons.

  24. I don’t know whether Reed had his hands tied or not but there was definitely a massive sense of drift. It took forever for the club to make a decision on Puel’s sacking, and our transfer activity was left very late and was clearly not enough. It did feel like everything was put on the back-burner until the ownership was resolved. Given the takeover was complete before the season started that doesn’t explain why we took quite so long to sack Pellegrino though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. All of the guys we’ve brought in this summer seem like decent characters with a bit of intelligence about them - Armstrong is even studying for a law degree. Doesn’t mean they’ll be brilliant players but hopefully it will improve the dressing room harmony a bit. Certainly preferable to Boufal’s hissy-fits or Lemina’s w@nky hashtags #toniclikeleminade Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
