Apparently Erik Sviatchenko was clocked at Glasgow airport this morning by various peeps on twitter. Rumoured destination is Southampton. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

The club have held contingency meetings about Championship Football

Ah, that's why Gabbiadini isn't starting then. -
Hmm, Les 'hopeful' that the 'competitive package' offered is enough to tempt Theo. Also served up with a ready-made excuse of him making a 'lifestyle choice' (basically more money and less chance of getting relegated) if he doesn't sign. I'd say it's looking hopeless. Well he's left behind a bigger nose dive. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

FF? Seems to have some form of OCD as he spends more time pulling up his socks than concentrating on the game going on in front of him. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

The genius of Krueger giving that interview backing Pellegrino before the game.

Fair play to Blackmore for giving Wreck-it a decent grilling - he pushed about as far as he could without getting blacklisted by the club. Ralph was clearly uncomfortable and tetchy towards the end. So we should be happy for a fantastic season last year despite the club's decision to sack Puel and 2017 admittedly not being a very good year for us? And we shouldn't blame any one person despite the blame conveniently being foisted onto the recently departed VvD? I get that the situation hasn't helped Pellegrino but Koeman continued to be able to effectively manage the team with Schneiderlin, Mané and Wanyama all wanting out. So did Puel with Fonte. Krueger talks of the excellent training sessions put on by Pellegrino, but the fans have seen no tangible evidence of that (only regression) and i'm not convinced he'd have any clue or first-hand knowledge anyway. All the empty soundbites about a no excuses culture but it sounds like the board are doing exactly the opposite - making excuses for their own mistakes and poorly constructed excuses at that. Don't know if this has been posted before but there was a recent article in the Express about the policy of secrecy that pervades the club: https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/897024/Southampton-Mauricio-Pellegrino-Premier-League-News Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Wilson's article reads a bit like the board's fantasy list - I'd be surprised if any of the links pan out, given how difficult the January market is to negotiate. Anyone remember the Wilson articles at the start of summer discussing preferred German managerial targets like Tuchel and Schmidt? This feels much the same.

Wages, yes. Fee would be nowhere near that considering he's barely played this season and Wenger is actively looking to trim the squad. £15m-£18m I reckon.

1) The board made Puel's position untenable, not the fans. 2) The board chose Puel's replacement, not the fans. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Pathetic if we are selling to Liverpool after our stance in the summer. We need to reinvest every penny in January but we'll probably just get a smug PR piece where Lesley makes barbs about the 'absurd' spending of our rivals. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Nightmare scenario; Pellegrino sacked and Eric Black named as caretaker manager until ‘due diligence’ over every unemployed managed is complete. Scary thought but probably not as scary letting Pellegrino take charge of one more game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Silva’s success at Watford makes a mockery of our supposed ‘due diligence’ process. Watford are playing with more or less the style of football that Les Reed described us returning to when he appointed Pellegrino. Silva was available, had PL experience and more or less offered himself to us by various press reports stating we were his preferred option. Right under our nose. Nice one Les. If we bring in a target man and replacements for Tadic and Redmond that are half decent with the £70m then I shan’t complain. He’s not even been particularly good since he’s returned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Coupled with costs getting to games from London this is pretty much why I haven’t renewed my S/T. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
