delaying the lockdown is a fair point. However, given the lightest of lockdowns we have, remains in place because anyone of influence has to constantly tell the country how wonderful we are, and now journo's are demanding to know when we are coming out (after just 3 weeks). I wonder what stomach the UK would have for a proper lockdown? then there is the question about the devastation to our economy already. That will kill plenty of people down the line. timing of a lockdown is absolutely impossible to get right.

You dont know then. thanks
-
how do you know they are dying at work due to lack of protective gear?
-
There is criticising the government and there is continuing the anti-tory/brexit viciousness, that he (and you) clearly display it is the same stance that makes the daily briefings unwatchable as soon as the journo's get to ask their 'questions'..

how do you know?

Yes, part of my prime and my renewal is in Jan....I probably will sign up for another year after making the most of Amazon oct-dec [emoji1787]

Try getting into Ozarks (Netflix) Pretty decent I think Amazon is pretty gash for TV and unsure if I will extend when it comes round again for renewal.

The wife's place/trust has oodles of PPE. 10,000 (more in many cases now) items delivered at least weekly. It is fairly strict on when/how it is used but their 'Line to Take' is to contsantly say they are very short in order to maintain pressure. Which was demonstrated a couple of weeks ago in a local article showing staff using eye protection donated from one of the local schools.....only for them to put on the correct PPE once the local journo went. Issue they have at the trust, every man, woman and HCA believes (rightly or wrongly) they should be donning full PPE no matter what the scenario. That simply can't be achieved.

You are a very strange individual The election is over, we have left the EU and sadly for you, Boris Johnson is on the mend.

Strange gritty film. Kind of liked it but would be annoyed if went to the cinema to see it!

I'm unsure there is anything to be proud of at all. Zero wage cut, which will ultimately hurt the club hard / drive up matchday and season ticket prices. All which took nearly a month to achieve.
-
To be honest, I don't really applaud our club players for this. Should have been an immediate action at the very least and they are defering their wages, not taking a pay cut, right? If so, we were up shyt creek anyway, let alone the financial cost of this hitting the club.

There was a piece online explaining Germany's two tier system. Their publicaly funded system decide (yearly I think) what they can and cant/won't cover for the next period. If what you need is not covered and you only pay into public health care, then tough, go private or jog on Imagine that here. My god. Any PM that Introduces that would get lynched. I think it is the right way to go. The current model we have is simply not fit for purpose, unless we shut down other govt departments to fund it. Even then, the money will run out soon enough.

Very important point missed in all this... Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Beth Rigby has made a very important point this morning, given the current climate. There is a distinct lack of diversity in the MPs elected to give the daily update. Cheers Beth.
-
Piers Morgan was still going on about it this morning. Saying we MUST KNOW who is in charge.!!!!
-
Not sure how many times it needs to be said on interviews today and in recent days. Dominic Raab is leading the Govt now. He is the 1st Secretary of State
-
Very disturbing individual
-
some of them have been awful throughout. 3x Chris Whitty said he can't comment on the PM being advised to go to hospital as he is not his Doctor, yet they kept repeating the question. Today, the same question will be posed (throughout the day) "who is in charge". We all know it is now Raab (whether you like it or not). So not sure why it needs to be asked 254 times
-
they/he was obviously downplaying it. Now, no hiding it

I read a piece by Toby Young last week on the questioning of the risk/reward to this lockdown with the direction of travel towards an even greater one. Throw in the demands at the Government to have locked us down much earlier. Will it be worth destroying the economy for, which will probably cost even more lives than COVID19 etc. He was absolutely torn to shreds for daring to suggest such a thing.
