  1. Looking for a ticket if anyone has one.
  2. They've delivered one of the best periods in our club's history and clearly taken care in passing on the baton. In the mad world of football nothing is ever certain but I'm optimistic about the future. A huge thank you to Katharina, to Markus and to everyone around them.
  3. Davis is nailing the holiday dad look, there
  4. Honours don't have to be about service to the country, they're also given for achievements in public life. But when it comes to benefitting the country we should look at the Premier League's global influence and what that means for British soft power and the economy.
  5. I really doubt the players care, as long as he's been professional since. We've no reason to doubt that.
  6. Quite contrary to being just a game, I think cases like this show how significant football is. Gave this lad something to smile about.
  7. Because he's not just 'okay' anymore. He's improved a lot.
  8. He'd be a good appointment but would have too steep a hill to climb with the fanbase I think. Anything other than a flying start and they'd be at him.
  9. Gabbiadini and Long's goals were the moments but I think the full 90 minutes at home to Inter, from fear to grievance to elation, is worth a mention. Real shame we've gone through the season without any scalps in the league, those tend to be the most memorable days.
  10. Tell you what, being an away supporter for a top club must be a pain with only a handful of 3pm Saturdays a season.
  11. Harder to judge individuals when the team's never quite come together, but Redmond and Gabbiadini have clearly been good buys.

    Puel out

Today's Times: Ironic suggestion that Puel plays favourites at the *expense* of Redmond, when earlier in the season half our fans were convinced Redmond was getting fame time he didn't deserves.
  13. I think they were saying 'boo-urns', actually.
  14. Would like to see Austin given a good runout, even if it's off the bench. Can't believe Puel put Boufal on instead last night.

    Striker Sale

If we get a new manager then I wouldn't like to say. Someone new could get more or less out of different players, all of whom are capable of better things than they're showing at the moment. If Puel stays then I think it's probably curtains for Rodriguez.
  16. Nah, not enough firepower and keepers not up to it either.

    Puel out

Well, if we finished eighth and met your expectations of top seven/eight, we would still be miles off the top seven. This is a fair point but there's a lot of grey area between being desperate to hold on, like we were with Pochettino and Koeman, and wanting someone to go. I'm not too fussed either way on Puel.
  18. Do you really doubt it? He's turned Spurs from perennial, bottling underachievers to serious trophy contenders in three years, using youth and some of the most exciting football in England.
  19. The Sun have recycled it from 101 Great Goals, that well-known and trustworthy source.
  20. I think that's probably right. It's interesting that Koeman has come out now and used such strong language. He sort of (sort of) has a point about youth getting more chances with all the games we had this year, but I bet it's about attitude around the training ground as much as anything. Was it Sims who Koeman said he didn't know?
  21. Congratulations to them.
  22. With a clear run at the league group stage qualification has to be the target, though playoffs would be totally acceptable. This team is more than capable of it, especially if the transfer window goes well.
  23. I was following you until that last sentence!

    Boufal

That's not common sense, it's optimism. That's fine too (and I share it) but you can understand pessimists see him another way, particularly when people made posts exactly like this about another record signing of ours.
  25. We don't need to know, really. And Puel will have a far better idea than any of us, having watched him every day for a couple of months.
