Steady on! He's been absolutely outstanding for Everton this season and was man of the match at the weekend. He's not going anywhere but I'd take him in a heartbeat Carroll is also good when fit, and Welbeck/Walker have potential. Wouldn't have any in our current squad mind

Wigan are far too unpredictable to really pay much thought to. We'll just have to wait and see, and hope they falter. -
So long as the odds stay far longer than they are for other teams!

This is brilliant

At least this means it's not over! (hopefully)

Walcott. Doesn't celebrate his goals, bad for morale. Sign Bale instead

I certainly wasn't born - which increases the effect I suppose. We're always told that Beatlemania was a wonderful thing that swept the world but the obsession with Justin Bieber/One Direction (which seems pretty similar to me, even if the music was better) isn't seen in quite the same way.
-
Just a popstar. Not sure why everyone hates him so much - it's the level of obsession I'd be worried about! But we can all look back at Beatlemania with rose-tinted glasses I suppose.

We'll see how these next two go. If we play really well but somehow lose both games (unlikely!) then we can look at West Brom. If we don't show up, then we can only blame ourselves for those two performances when we knew points were needed. As it happens I think we'll play okay and get the job done. -
There's pandering and there's fighting against oppression. There's discriminating against Christianity and there's curbing some of the undemocratic influence its leaders have held on our government for centuries - eg Bishops in the Lords. People who complain about political correctness very often conflate the two - and even more often treat unrepresentative examples (eg 'winter festival') as representative (when everybody still calls it Christmas) Anyway, it's been confirmed that there wasn't any serious political chanting going on at White Hart Lane! That'll do for today

It's a restriction on being a bigot. Respect your right to say it, etc, but there are reasons why you shouldn't, such as not being a piece of work

I'm flitting between anxious, wet willy and composed and cocksure...

To be fair it sounds like Wigan were incredibly lucky to win that game. Some of their defending really was horrendous from the MOTD highlights. If West Brom were as clinical as they were against us then Wigan would've got thumped -
Lallana's lost weight

If we go down it won't be by more than a point or two, so in reality any result where something's gone wrong could be said to haunt us - Wigan away, Utd at home, any number of games where we've dominated but failed to get the result. But if we get relegated it will really be because of these next two games, these are the only important ones now. It's in our hands, and we'll get the results we need. -
Probably, but I doubt it's gonna be printed on paper...and we all know what's allowed on the internet. He's practically doing the splits to be fair
-
Good point
-
What a signing he'd be! Great player. He's out injured for Valencia at the moment though - presume it's nothing serious.
-
Thanks for confirming that you're trolling with all this Lallana guff. He's just too central to our play. We're always looking for him so when the opposition do a job on him we're not quite quick enough to find a way through someone else. He's still had a fantastic season
-
My bad - meant point.
-
...nope, he hasn't been poor all season. He's been good. All season. We're singling him out because he gets so much stick that he doesn't deserve
-
I feel I should point out that Swansea managed to carve out a respectable point against Man City yesterday - a beach team would have lost that game, even if City don't have a lot to play for.
-
He hasn't played in a position that demands goals for years now.

Oh I agree we should have made more of our possession, but we had more chances than the one free kick -
