*Some feminist groups I'm no lawyer but it seems a bit fishy to me. Can there really be a challenge on the grounds of discrimination under the 2010 Act because it contradicts someone's belief in gender equality? Could a vegetarian launch a legal challenge if they worked in a slaugherhouse? Strange one. We'll see how it pans out I suppose

Who's talking about world class quality?

Would have to do an awful lot to prove he's fit enough and willing to work. Don't see it myself

I don't think Morgan's worth more necessarily - six years older and foreign, which brings his price down if you're selling to an English club. Six years is the difference between 'exciting young prospect' Adam Lallana and 'getting on a bit' Rickie Lambert. Amazing when you think of it that way

I don't know about this. I'd take a trophy every day of the week but I'd still be absolutely delighted if we qualified for the Champions League. If you can't win a trophy then the next best thing is to see your team competing against the world's best.

and, honestly 1976 yellow for away. Never particularly liked other away kits...

Surely he'll re-sign? He's their captain, doubt either party wants him to leave

And here was me thinking people had come to terms with Dortmund being an elite European side and not just plucky underdogs

VIDEO: Every Saints goal from the 2012/13 Premier League season
DuncanRG replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Lovely stuff. Always forget how many scrappy goals we've scored but some beauties in there. Special mention to Guly for assist of the season vs Stoke! (Followed closely by Lambert's vs Reading and Villa) -
Haha, wonderful

I'd like to point out that this is not an argument against gay marriage.

Glad we've got Pochettino in place already ...
DuncanRG replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
I don't think anyone views Pochettino as the finished article yet, people are just optimistic that he can deliver on his promise. And he is being tipped for great things by many authoritative figures, Mourinho etc. The honeymood period is over but so is his time having to keep the team going without fully implementing his ideas. He's going to make changes in the close season -
Are Stoke the ugliest 'football' team in the Premier?
DuncanRG replied to Norm's topic in The Saints
Not on par with the big clubs obviously, but they've spent a lot on players recently. I doubt he'd be going for a fundamental change in footballing style, which requires a high personnel turnover, without investing in it. He has spoken about a focus on homegrown talent though, so perhaps he envisions that he won't have to spend so much in a few years' time. -
It's 2+2=5 stuff. They've said they want to be in the top four in the future (2), and that they expect to improve/invest greatly next season (2). The two have been put together to say we expect to be top four next season, which is something else entirely and is untrue from what we've heard. There is every chance, of course, that they've spoken to someone that we haven't heard from. These things happen.

Shawcross signed a new contract this season if memory serves, and he's the captain - doubt he or Huth are going anywhere. Plenty of players will go but Stoke won't miss them. -
Because we don't really know that. Likely to be a contributing factor if true though

If they can keep Begovic, of course. -

Pardon? They've spent loads of money in the last couple of years with little return on the pitch. Have the owners said they're cutting the supply off? Not the best way to go about looking for a manager if so. -
Okay we have a winner for silliest prediction, crikey. On what planet do the players that Manchester City have finish 11th!? It'd take a spectacular fragmentation in the dressing room and zero confidence in the new manager for them to come close to dropping out of Europe

Are the ends more important than the means to you?
DuncanRG replied to buctootim's topic in The Saints
But can be utilised properly and yield amazing results ala Man United. Not always academy players but young, English players that you can develop that same affection for. -
Tell him to put a quid on it, he'll be a millionaire if it comes off. One Manchester side may drop down, maybe, but not both, no way. The top five are all unknown quantities for next season though, much transfer and managerial activity to come.

Time's come and gone for this season. He was the right choice a few months ago but definitely not anymore

Some Tory backbenchers and older Labour MPs are trying to force an amendment to the bill which gives straight couples the right to civil partnerships...but they're doing it to try and wreck the bill and delay it going through. Some have even admitted that. I haven't seen any demand for straight civil partnerships themselves. It is only fair that they be available but gay marriage, an issue which is crucial for the progression of Britain as a modern, tolerant society, has to be the priority above anything else. Introduce civil partnerships for straight couples, if need be, but not when it stalls or halts something far more important.

Your friend's off his head! Who's coming first and second, Chelsea and?

They've said, again and again, that young academy players will get a chance at this club. That's been proven this season and will continue into the future.
