I'm not questioning your post in general, but it's worth saying that this isn't how the media works. They might have the same source but it'll be nothing to do with common ownership.

I actually thought it was a yellow until I saw it again at speed. He goes in with a fair bit of force from behind.
-
How much would it cost the club to pay off Ralph's contract? How much to buy the next manager out of theirs, if we went down that route? In our financial situation, and this early in the season, I'd consider that sort of spending seriously wasteful.

First time listening to Tessem tonight - enjoyed his bluntness about some poor moments. Other stuff will come with experience.
-
Semmens said we'd recruit if Vestergaard left. I trust we will, but I don't fancy our chances of getting someone good enough to really sort things out.
-
We'd better get a bloody good centre half before the window shuts.

First game optimism always gets you, doesn't it. *unless you support Everton

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
DuncanRG replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Semmens said at the fan forum that we'd recruit if Vestergaard left. The question is whether we go for a starter or a kid - and whether we succeed, of course. -
No, me neither. You're probably right but we've all heard the chants of 'you let your country down' before. I just hope they're a thing of the past. Doubt Rashford and co would get that treatment off the bat but if they win a contentious penalty or something, who knows? Sterling gets booed all over the place already, including at St Mary's.
-
They're not other teams, they're England. That's my team and presumably yours. I'm talking mostly about the boys who missed penalties and need the support that Southgate didn't get in 96. A round of applause would be nice - we do the same for some former Saints so I don't see the problem. But most important is not to boo. We want to win the next tournament and we want them to help.
-
Just came here to say that we should cheer the England players when their names are called at St Mary's next season. I'll be so bummed if I hear 'you let your country down', as fans have sung at past England players.

It makes sense if you accept the premise that he won't play. I find that premise very odd, given the circumstances.
-
And he's not even sulky! He can be quite serious, but he's a real professional.
-
If he and the club saw eye to eye he wouldn't be going public, saying it was in the club's hands and talking about how many years he had 'left in him'. Sounds like he's angling for a longer contract, as he's entitled to do. Be interested to know how many years each side is proposing.
-
Yep, agree with this.
-
I wouldn't be starting Walcott over Djenepo against a high line!
-
Good guy to have around the club, and certainly not too old for a season-long loan. I'd feel differently if it were permanent.
-
I'm sure he has been! Chelsea won't let him go elsewhere until they've ruled out the possibility of getting Rice.
-
Surprised people are complaining about the performance. It wasn't pretty but it was effective and deliberate. We weren't trying to dazzle them. A better team would have creative ways of finding that second goal, but we're not that team. We only play well against open sides normally so it was hugely gratifying to see us get this one.
-
Salisu hasn't been brought in as a starter if reports are to be believed - not yet.
-
Those darn kids and their understanding!
-
No guarantee he'll stay in the team enough to be captain, and it would only happen if JWP left anyway.
-
What makes you think it's bull? He can agree terms in principle with more than one club before signing.
-
Looks like he'll end up shining at any team he goes to. It's all about timing. Dortmund for a few years I expect.
