  1. Was sat a few rows in front and didn't actually see it but heard that that's what happened and to see the little lad (obviously the 'punchers' son) crying after when his dad had just been taken away by stewards was quite upsetting. Embarrassing really that someone at a game with young children would start laying into someone like that, the little boy's face said it all. Football would be better without fans like these - hope he gets banned.
  2. Completely agree. Since coming back from injury Cork has been a huge boost for the team - and Schneiderlin's determination and grit in the centre of the park really does hold the side together. They often go without real mention but their contribution is massive - deserve a hell of a lot more recognition than they get!
  3. Have to say it's refreshing to hear about the air superiority and 'beautiful' through balls - I can't bear to watch Hooiveld's long balls whenever he is under no pressure at the back. Don't get me wrong his recent performances have been very good, but his decision making and attempted through balls do lose us too much possession.
  4. At the start of the season Fonte looked very shaky and was underperforming hugely - the difference between then and now is remarkable and to have the ability to step his game up as he has done more than earns him the right of a regular spot. After all the criticism and doubt the back 4 received it is a credit that they have managed to improve and show they are able to cope in this league. The Fonte-Yoshida partnership has proved to be effective and there's no reason why it can't continue to be that way. That being said, I agree that Yoshida is the weaker of the 2 and probably was in part a 'panic buy'. With match experience, I can see Forren and Fonte developing as a very capable pair.
