  1. Couple of dangerous free kicks would be nice
  2. Need to be less pedestrian in attack against teams that can defend well
  3. I would hate to have to watch wolves every week, I’d rather take the odd 9-0 spanking than watch this diving and rolling around bore fest week in and week out. our players doing okay, bednarek unlucky to not make contact with the ball for the pen, Redmond a little out of sorts today and think Che would stretch them more and bring Broja into the game. Tella not looking as confident but tbf he is still out of position against a more disciplined side. They’ve had their chances and so have we. Still points available.
  4. You’ve got to be having a laugh 😂
  5. Good to see Ralph’s has swiftly responded to the capitulation on display in the last 8 mins
  6. I think 12 months is incredibly generous so fair play to you
  7. This commentary wankfest is getting very tedious now
  8. Don’t worry lads I stuck a couple of quid on the 9 against us before the match started and so whatever happens it won’t end with that at least. (Could be more mind you if Alpine Klopp doesn’t change it…)
  9. We often lose after the break and we often seem to lose to bottom of the table, doesn’t help that Walcott has the first touch of a rapist. I forgive Ralph for the drubbings but it’s games like this when we are in control, lose shape and then we should be able to tactically change and recover with the better players on paper and plenty of time left in a match. However we almost never do, against the arguable worst team in the league it really make me question his ability in the prem for anything more ambitious than basic survival. he doesn’t often seem to be able to read the game when it’s in play, and his subs choices baffle me every game even the ones we’ve won recently…
  10. Did we get 2 players sent off and I missed it, because we are playing like that
  11. I clearly don’t understand the rules. I thought if a tackle that takes out the opposition player is made, the first touch has to be the ball or it is a foul and free kick to opposition… let alone it being a clear and obvious goal scoring opportunity.
  12. I think it no coincidence that the first year of full VAR and the league table looks the way it does right now. It doesn’t take many ‘wrong’ decisions or bias to put the classic rich teams top in a league that is decided by small margins in quality. Now for my tin foil hat opinion: there is absolutely no way in hell the people that run this league will risk seeing teams like wolves Sheffield Utd, or even Leicester continuing to compete for spots reserved for the money makers. Those who want football back to the way it was will get their wish and normal service will resume next season with refs getting to decide whether to use VAR or not and it will intentionally be neglected to be used at vital Moments like penalty decisions that could swing the game away from the big 6. You know it as well really and the media campaign against VAR is driven to make everyone want that to happen. That’s why there is not many positive articles about how so much previous injustice about the game has been removed and rather how it ‘slows’ the game (at least now those extra minutes at the end of a game are actually believable they were often getting added for no reason anyway previously)
  13. Friendly has got a bit of bite to it so far which is unusual, got a competitive edge. Great streaming coverage as well.
  14. 4 PTs better off than anyone would have predicted from the Xmas run and with good signs. Tiredness going forward clearly a massive issue over the last few games but we scraped something today which is a massive achievement. Hopefully the positional issues get sorted, a RB and ideally a replacement for Hoedt minimum.
  15. Ref taking no chances in that match great shepherding of play for the ref associatiion accumulator pot. Moments of good play from Saints, Shane long on changed the game as players reverted to being tempted by long ball when we were in ascendancy, second to every ball in the air and we just kept doing it over and over.. Wrong sub - Gabbi should have come on first then Long if we could nick it when they would be forced to come at us. Ah well we weren’t expecting to win that one and Everton look better than they have in ages.
  16. Some things really haven’t changed since 1984 then
  17. We are not even attempting to pass the ball to each other half the time, Its just wild clearances most of the time.
  18. anyone got a stream working at moment? that one has been down 10 mins
  19. please don't take this one personally but in short this is what in past has annoyed me about a lot of the couch fans (though they count no less it is simply a different way of supporting). Don't judge those of us who have attended every match in person and claim '**** stadium' and '**** atmosphere' etc. Being there is very different, you can have 20 minutes of hardcore singing but it means not much when that atmosphere dies because we see the same **** time and again. After you have personally witnessed the 40th time Long could have been onside and play was in his favour but still mistimes his run or when Romeu misjudges his pass after breaking up play only to set the opposition up, or how every member of the midfield and defence decides now is the time to lunge in and drop your man simultaneously. Basically when there is something to cheer the supporters are there. Sometimes frustratingly we get to see the entire play absent the focus of the current camera selection on the VM monitor.
  20. There is two schools of thought now: Recent managers have been unlucky with **** players who have for several seasons they been massively overrated or very gifted players with a lot of potential have been woefully mismanaged. If the latter is the case Mark would be feeling quite confident and makes me think it is why he accepted the job on such a short term basis in the first place... At least this is what I want to believe... and I am very cynical in general.
  21. all part of a carefully laid plan to ‘do a leicester’
  22. surely someone in the club with an ounce of credulity and leeway has also done a prediction table with all the resources at their disposal and realised that if Les himself isn't seeing the writing on the wall then it should be pointed out. How many ****ing millions are going into this club for not one of the people with the ability to change something to actually have a voice and state the obvious... whoever you are, you need to speak up because a lot of jobs are going to be lost in about 3 months and yours may be one of them...
  23. swearing/profanity is a social tool employed by not just humans as a way of emphasising emotional tone, passion and to influence others. It has also been shown to be a large part in the formation of camaraderie between individuals. It is perhaps telling that many of the people who moan about swearing will find it more acceptable do so with their partners or friends in private to fit in or emphasise emotion but in public do not mostly due to stigmas of misunderstanding and upbringing. So if anything those who refuse to swear or use profanities (albeit in correct context) are socially more backwards than the rest as they lack the use or understanding of a valuable communicative tool. But the Echo letter has done a nice job of further accentuating the camaraderie of the Northam stand. Swearing will now become an identifier of being ‘part of the gang’ and not just a tool to demonstrate passion and solidarity.
  24. I like look of Carillo unselfish target man we’ve missed that. Someone physical to play the ball to and lay it off. Doing well considering lack of match time and new to the league.
  25. So it’s either a case of incompetence or willful negligence from our board then. The only way Reed should keep his job now is by hiring a new head of recruitment and blame shifting, otherwise I think its past time we as fans start working to get this unambitious asshole out of our city along with his **** Yes Man manager.
