Not my worldly goods as that would be a tad overdramatic, but yes I’m confident enough in saints letting us down that I’ve spread some bets around with the idea Plymouth will win today. The odds are favourable to do so as the bookies do not share my view either. If I’m not right and lose some money then I’m probably celebrating a win.

Plymouth will no doubt win, I’ve watched Saints enough to know how this goes. This is a classic banana skin game and we nearly always slip up, especially when some of our mong fans are giving it large and acting arrogant towards the opposition as if we are somehow better than them with not enough on the pitch evidence to back that assertion up this season. We will probably score early, the team will also get complacent, then they will get one before Ht and straight after. We will battle away until inevitably we throw the sink at getting a point from a draw and then they sneak another on the counter. plymouth 3-1 would desperately love to be wrong about this, and we smash them, as for me it would be a sign we are gonna be in the mix this season. But we’ve already dropped the ball against Gillingham in similar circumstances albeit without the same players, so expecting similar results.

He really held his nerve with that one… 😂

Looking at subs all listed in there I think that is almost likely to be the team we have available next season. Bree would be in there too. think the starting lineup is basically a goodbye starting 11. Think all of them but Bree will leave.
-
I think the last line is why JWP is most likely to turn up in a spurs shirt, if he is given the choice of club.

Madness that we got rid of Romeu and kept Diallo when it was clear Lavia was leaving at the end of this season regardless. Now even more frustrating as Romeu would have been perfect CDM to hold onto for Championship.
-
Annoyingly I still think we have good players with under-utilised talents. The results against top 6 teams show that. But mismanagement at both pitch and board level all season is what has meant we have never been able to get the players working together and confident.

Makes me laugh the tators making out Newcastle are playing Brazilian football. It’s just we are so shit under pressure that any pass goes through

Newcastle made a tactical change… Wish we had a manager

You can all thank me for that one.

Yep I’ve gone for a Richarlison brace

‘Home Truths’ or ‘Frontfooted but with the greatest respect…’

Brentford are a good side. We played better football than them and from where I was sat there seemed to be a massive overall improvement in passing and defending. Still not cutting in attack but if we’d played Brentford even a month ago they would have smashed us. We are improving but probably not fast enough to stay up when we still can’t convert chances. Tactically I think trying the switch of Ely and Diallo for the starting two later in the game rather than the other way round was the wrong move but I get why he tried it. We setup to hold them out first half and then move into a more aggressive game in the second. If we hadn’t conceded our usual set piece then maybe it would have worked as Brentford would not have been able to sit back. Unfortunately for all the improvement it is probably too little, too late, and it’s not Selles fault. I am excited about what we can do in the championship though, if we can keep hold of a couple of the players and reinvest money from the stars we sell. Should be good fun and would be nice to get a good atmosphere at home games again, it’s been way too long.

Saints 3-2 Highlights include a dodgy Fernandes pen and classic JWP Brace.

Good now we can concentrate on the cup 🤣😭

Christ he is not even IN yet. You get that there literally is no one else to take the game today right?
-
Well shit, these players need to start managing their own fucking performances then if all they are gonna do is moan at every appointment. Guess the worst culprits and bigger ego’s will fuck off along with the fair weather fans when we hit the championship, from there we can hopefully rebuild and enjoy it a lot more.

One man’s genius is another ones madman. Ralph was a maverick genius too, he was being touted for Man Utd only last year. We got some amazing results against some top 4 form sides but we did also occasionally let in 9.

Like this a lot. Choice between stuey/orsic/edozie on that wing for flavour. If it’s going to be Marsch soccer I think I’d start with Edozie for the press. Big Paul the target outlet when they try to press us back. Sulemana plays trigger. Mara on later when big Paul tires so we have a pacy outlet to run the channel. Easily beat Chelsky 3-1 😉

With the greatest respect, anyone willing to come here at our current levels of implosion , with some minimal prem experience, is going to be an improvement on Mad Nate. God willing Jesse will come in on the front foot and get us playing aggressive in a googlyeye press. Main thing is don’t mug off the fans, your coaching staff and players in a public press conference in your first few games. That will buy some time. The style of play Should suit Sully and Alcatraz who Ralph never got to induct into the method. I Like big Paul, but he was brought in for Nate balls. Still feel like we need a poacher type striker who can hit the net if switching back to the high press. Maybe Tella next season if he carries on improving at the rate he is now.
-
Good luck to Ralph, had some good times despite the more recent bads. And at least he never ran his mouth off in public about our best players like some complete wanker. I had sympathy for Jones and felt other fans got on his back way sooner than deserved in his early tenure, I was willing to ride out the next few games and see what he could do with a striker and players back from injury, but that was right up until he started throwing other people under the bus. No class, leadership is taking responsibility, and taking the flack to protect those you lead, not slagging them off and spouting off about your former achievements. His one job was to unite the club and he’s fucking crowbarred it. Board split, players split, fans split from the previous two. Just fuck off Nathan

Poll: how do you think our League season will end?
Mallagroth replied to SNSUN's topic in The Saints
For the first time in nearly two seasons we have a recognised striker coming in. That is why we are in the shit, that is why the fans are toxic to every leadership decision and why no manager who walked through the doors and didn’t start Winning was going to get pelters. so we bought a striker, now we have a chance, Jones also has a chance to redeem himself, the owners a chance to not lose a lot of money and the players to retain some earnings value. All the above need to stop bitching and whining at each other at least a month and see what pans out. -
Hopefully this is the last we will see of Mo starting for rest of the season
-
Our players are lacking in any belief. Look at the wild passing and shots. Our only real hope is that Jones is as good a man manager as claimed because he needs to instil some classic relegation fighting spirit into them.

When Liverpool are passing in this form and quality they could stuff anyone in Europe. We needed them to be having an off day and now it’s a case of getting to half time and hoping they drop the quality.
