  1. The idea that russ has a style that he is wed to is utter propaganda. There is no attacking plan other than to play cautious first when attacking and take risks passing out from the back. Even that is back to front. There is no other strategy, no other plan other than to hope the players come up with individual moments of skill.
  2. The audacity of Everton, to play up the wing and go straight for a cross into a striker. Supposed to pass the ball around the box for 5 mins first
  3. I really wanted RM to do well, and I hoped today would be the day for it to begin, but it’s a results game, and it’s time to find someone who can get one. As much as I detest the prem, we are here and we need to try and make it stick for the future of the club. Selfishly as a consolation I’m glad I stuck a tenner on Leicester to win at half time at 30-1, we all Know how likely it was to go this way.
  4. I genuinely hate this league, it’s hard enough without the suspect ref interventions.
  5. Ref planning a red today for his multibet
  6. I feel for the guy as he seems a nice bloke and willing to put in a shift wherever required but he just can’t cut it at this level as first choice for 60+mins.
  7. It took us 6 games to really get going last season, and it was a tough ask to compete in this league before we even started. Many of us felt it was a season too soon to win promotion. But here we are. Be happy to see us give it a go and we can do better than we’ve shown so far. The first 30 minutes today indicates there’s a sliver of hope and there’s something there, we might be able to ignite the touch paper now loyalty to last seasons players is being dropped in favour of performances. New manager isn’t going to solve our situation right now when the players are all behind RM and like working with him. When the dressing room turns then that’s the time to get rid, otherwise a change will achieve nothing. Suck it up and try and enjoy the good moments when they come as we don’t know how many we may get this season, either way look forward to the next.
  8. The script of this episode is a bit predictable
  9. This is not as bad as everyone is saying. The pairing of Aribo and small bone is the glaring issue, the failure to keep the ball moving through midfield means it’s coming back over and over again into the danger areas, it’s also why we end up horseshoe passing so often as they just aren’t creative enough midfield players at this level and Too static.
  10. Spirit of Che Adam’s still with us
  11. All the repressed homosexuals are gonna be loudly raging about this one. Could be a fun third kit choice if they’ve got the colours to work okay.
  12. I’ll have a punt at this one: CF Fotis Ioannidis fits the clue. Would fit our playstyle and be upgrade on Adams. Ipswich already balls deep in bidding allegedly circa 25m+
  13. If by some miracle we get promoted I’m buying one (rather that than eat a hat)
  14. We set out to not lose and didnt yes we played well if the above was the main aim. But we could have been a bit more ambitious with the changes to try and get a result. West Brom threw the sink at it start of both halves but for a lot of endeavour didn’t get much joy. no. chances were slim and no overwhelming clear cut opportunities wasted No Mara was clearly there in the hope of an uncharacteristic moment of excellence but the emphasis was on containing for at least 70 mins. There were shaky moments when West Brom inevitably pressed the ‘home’ advantage but nothing to single out JS at CB imho. yes and made good stops but with the usual occasional wtf punched clearance. second leg is basically a one shot now, hard to tell with our team. If saints come out confident we will smash them, any doubts in dressing room and we are likely to melt and let them in at the last 5 mins of every half.
  15. Fair play to them… they have got determination and never give up, when we find that in our squad we will be able to go up.
