Children's Social Services staff are some of the most pressured people you can find, especially in some of the inner city jungles. You can get 999 cases right and get zero appreciation; but get #1000 wrong and you are slated, whether it is not taking a child into care when with hindsight you should have done, or taking a child into care and then being told that you were over-reacting. They are told that the best place for any child to be is with the parents, and everything is geared to that aim. No system could ever be perfect, yet we always have to have a scapegoat; followed by yet another public enquiry and hence more legislation to complicate and confuse an already over-whelming level of beaurocratic overheads. In this case the level of deliberate deception on the mother's part was inconceivable.

Basset : / Daily Echo : Lowe Did not pick the team

But I have never said that any of this is FACT, have I ? As I said, people will read into what is printed exactly what they want to see. Surely you don't believe everything you read in the press, particularly given the generally sycophantic tone of the Echo ? -
Basset : / Daily Echo : Lowe Did not pick the team

Take the words at face value, then read into them what you want :- "Rupert was keen to play the youngsters", "Rupert didn't pick the team, Harry did"; ergo Rupert tried to influence team selection but HR resisted, exactly what was inferred in the original thread. -
Does this mean we can send back Fosters and Castlemaine beer, the Minogue sisters and the rest of Neighbours, and most importantly Rolf Harris ?
-
There is a world of difference between blooding the youngsters in a team where they are playing alongside experienced pros, and disposing of all those over 22 and fielding 9 teenagers with a handful of first team games between them. Whilst Burley was here there were plenty of calls for players like Lallana to be given their chance, although GB seemed not to have faith in the ressies ability to step up, hence some of them chose to leave. The problem is we have gone to the other extreme and the squad is floundering.

That's as maybe, but the first team keep losing !
-
But why can't JP change the starting line-up and tactics ?
-
2 reasons, can't score & can't defend. Wait a while, you'll come round
-
The problem is that there are too many games where fans come away thinking 'we were unlucky today'. Losing becomes a habit. After the second half at Preston, with all the commitment spirit, and passion the team displayed, this was an opportunity to demonstrate that performance had showed the teams true qualities. Yet here we are again with just about everybody saying that we were clueless and lightweight in attack, and naive ( at best ) in defence. JP, however nice a guy he may be, is a one trick pony; we need to be more aggressive in the home games and get more bodies in the box. To many times the opposition defence find they are playing 2 or even 3 against our 1.

One win from 8 home games, 6 points from a possible 24 at SMS, is simply not good enough. This experiment has had it's day, unfortunately there is probably no realistic alternative. Anybody running a book on how many we will concede in the next two games ?

Well, I'm giving up on the streaming sites, and going off to do something else, ( ANYTHING else ! ). Maybe if I ignore this match completely they might start playing like they did last week. ( Mind you, I was there last week so my logic is a bit flawed ). See you all for the post match. COYR

Because of the fuselage sealing issue, they could only fuel it up fully in mid-air, once the whole structure had heated up and stabilised.
-
The only aircraft I know of that is designed to leak fuel whilst on the ground. ( Due the fact that the fuselage panels would only seal properly once they had expanded due to the temperature generated by friction as it flew ).

I usually have a tomato soup at lunch time, it does wonders for removing the coffee and tea stains from my cup.

His father is Kenyan, his mother is a white mid-westerner. That means that the half of him that actually is American is white I just glad that McChip didn't get in, as there is no way he would have lasted a full term, and Mrs Palin frightens me more than Maggie T ever did.

Doesn't look much like Mr Torvalds

You could use something like WINZIP to create an encrypted archive and only give the p/w to those who you need to. They would be able to open files directly from within the ZIP to view them.

I read a whitepaper the other day that said it is sometimes possible to retrieve partial data from a track that had been overwritten 100 times !
-
It depends on how desperately somebody wants to get the data back. I've seen some pretty shot kit give up useful info.

Give me DOS 5 any day Or better still something with a penguin badge on it.
