True, but Dalek is a tad predictable.

Yes it is; it's the 'total football' ****** we are supposed to have bought into.

On Boxing Day we are away at Plymouth and Forest are at home to Donny. They are currently 1 point below us with a better GD. Do the math.

Administration is the ONLY way to break this downward spiral
badgerx16 replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
If I thought for a second this team and manager knew how to fight for survival it would help. The problem is they seem incapable of 'giving it a go' and will meekly surrender each and every home game with the same 'positive' drivel being spouted by Jan the man. -

Nick, by the end of Boxing Day we will most likely be in the bottom three, and heading for the abyss anyway. -
Nice to know that standards off the pitch haven't slipped in line with those on it

All I can say to the team is "Thanks a lot for the wedding anniversary present". :(:(! On the day we got married Saints were 9th in the top flight, and our home form was Won Drawn Lost For Against 8 2 2 29 17 Happy days:)

Administration is the ONLY way to break this downward spiral
badgerx16 replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Given our current form and standard of performance, the squad as it stands is in real danger of going down ; if in January we have to sell off AS and AL, as has been consistently rumoured, together with anybody else who attracts an offer, the situation on the pitch will only get worse. Either way we go down, and with it will come inevitable administration. Taking the admin after March will lead to us starting next season on negative points. Taking the admin now will lose us points now, lead to relegation, but we will start on zero next season, therefore we would actually be better off taking it now. I think that is the main point of Alpine's original post. God I'm depressed. -
To those that think JP is on his way this week...

Not quite in the circulation area, so can't be blamed for plagiarism -

badgerx16 replied to tisspahars's topic in The Saints
Nor do I, other than the lack of tactical nous, no plan B, sh1te loan signings, no idea about the English game, crap substitutions at the wrong point in the game,...did I say lack of tactical nous ? Sorry, but the guy is plainly out of his depth. Once we are in the bottom three, then maybe, finally, it might sink in that this experiment has failed - probably fatally. -

We have money for Forecast, Gasmi, Pulis, Pekhart, Smith, and Robertson. How much have that lot contributed so far ? They surely come in at more per week than any one of Rasiak, Saga, or Stern. -

Waiting for someone to come on and point out we are not in trouble, as we are not in the bottom three Sorry Jan, but nice guy as you may be, you are completely f***ing clueless; please do the decent thing and buy yourself out of your contract.

Maiden @ Twickers - took my sons, the hotel we stopped in was absolutely swarming with Eddie T-shirts. Rothwell Temperance Brass Band at Yeadon Town Hall, ( bit biased, my daughter plays for them ). Also saw David Tennant playing Hamlet at the RSC ( Courtyard Theatre )

Isn't Rupert meant to be keen on giving chances to young English managers ?

Assuming this has legs; if the money goes to paying off debt, rather than replacement players, what would the midfield look like ?
-
do we have the most financial restrictions..?
badgerx16 replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
I don't see how financial restrictions dictate the formation. As for a lack of money, how much did Morgan Schneiderlin cost ? And isn't Rupert supposed to have commented before the C Pal game that the squad is fully financed, the only budgetry concern was the stadium debt ? -
Half way through the season........its going to get worse I fear!!!
badgerx16 replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
If we lose KD we might as well take administration, 'cause we will be down for sure. -
I don't blame Jan, so much as believe he is out of his depth. Anyhow, I've got to out to a brass band concert now, ( plenty of cornets ), so for the moment you can have the last word.

I don't need to change the system, JP does.

Ah, so now a 'balanced' debate is you are right and everybody else's opinion is wrong.
