  1. So the core of the squad will be the least effective parts of this year's revolution, in a division with even more emphasis on size and strength
  2. We need to lose the false confidence that some are maintaining due to having a game in hand. It is against Watford, remember, and if we get a point it will be hard fought for. The next two games shape the season, win then draw is the absolute minimum, any less, particularly if we lose at Bloomfield Road, then bottoms will start squeaking.
  3. Is that the same Watford that have now won 6 of their last 8 games ? Whilst we need to find 4 wins and a couple of draws, and 3 of the wins will hopefully come from QPR, Blackpool, and Charlton, I can't see us getting much change from the away games at Hillsborough and Molyneux, so we need to get results from the Palace and Burnley games, and they won't be easy, to take the pressure off the last game of the season.
  4. Just done it and had us safe by 3 points after drawing the game at Forest. Not sure how fair I was on Plymouth though
  5. QPR have drawn 4 and lost 4 of their last 8 matches, and only scored 4 goals whilst conceding 10 -- don'tcha just know what that means
  6. As long as we concentrate in defence, and keep the lead when ( and if ) we get it. Games last 90 minutes, but we all too often lose interest in the last 10 - 15 minutes.
  7. Sorry chaps, my bad - in the table Barnsley should only have 40 pts. Plymouth P 38 Pts 43 B'Pool P 38 Pts 43 Forest P 38 Pts 41 Barnsley P35 Pts 40 Norwich P38 Pts 39 Saints P 37 Pts 38 Charlton P37 Pts 28
  8. Not if we only make up 2 goals on Forest we don't.
  9. Guess that makes the QPR game the most definite MUST WIN game;Saints need some confidence coming up to Bloomfield Road, as the Tangerines are showing a bit of grit, ( or is it sand ? ), and it would be better knowing that a draw there is good enough to at least keep things interesting. Going into the game when losing could put them 8 points above us would really start closing our chances of escaping.
  10. Plymouth P 38 Pts 43 B'Pool P 38 Pts 43 Barnsley P35 Pts 42 Forest P 38 Pts 41 Norwich P38 Pts 39 Saints P 37 Pts 38 Charlton P37 Pts 28 Reading v Charlton pending

  19. Please refer to the following link :http://royalsociety.org/page.asp?id=6229&gclid=CK2OqfnxkpkCFQ0zQgodu0zxbQ and look at 'misleading argument 6'. Plus, this is from the British Antarctic Survey in response to the 'documentary film' "The Great Global Warming Swindle" : A second issue was the claim that human emissions of CO2 are small compared to natural emissions from volcanoes. This is untrue: current annual emissions from fossil fuel burning and cement production are estimated to be around 100 times greater than average annual volcanic emissions of CO2. That large volcanoes cannot significantly perturb the CO2 concentration of the atmosphere is apparent from the ice core and atmospheric record of CO2 concentrations, which shows a steady rise during the industrial period, with no unusual changes after large eruptions. 20. Quotes from some of the 500 or so scientists listed by the Heartland Institute as supporting that organisation's work in de-bunking Global Warming :- "I am horrified to find my name on such a list. I have spent the last 20 years arguing the opposite." - Dr. David Sugden. Professor of Geography, University of Edinburgh “I have NO doubts ..the recent changes in global climate ARE man-induced. I insist that you immediately remove my name from this list since I did not give you permission to put it there."- Dr. Gregory Cutter, Professor, Department of Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Old Dominion University “I don't believe any of my work can be used to support any of the statements listed in the article."- Dr. Robert Whittaker, Professor of Biogeography, University of Oxford “Please remove my name. What you have done is totally unethical!!"- Dr. Svante Bjorck, Geo Biosphere Science Centre, Lund University “I'm outraged that they've included me as an "author" of this report. I do not share the views expressed in the summary."- Dr. John Clague, Shrum Research Professor, Department of Earth Sciences, Simon Fraser University “They have taken our ice core research in Wyoming and twisted it to meet their own agenda. This is not science."- Dr. Paul F. Schuster, Hydrologist, US Geological Survey “Please remove my name IMMEDIATELY from the following article and from the list which misrepresents my research."- Dr. Mary Alice Coffroth, Department of Geology, State University of New York at Buffalo :rolleyes:
