They asked if somebody else had borrowed my card, to which I pointed out that on the two days in question I was in Helsinki, Finland, using the self same card to pay a hotel bill and purchase duty free at the airport. All the money was credited back once I had sent them a copy of the statement with the dodgy transactions highlighted.
