  1. As they do in the Gulf states.
  2. According to Wikipedia, first cousin marriage is legal in Arizona and Utah, but only if both parties are over 64 or one is proven to be infertile. In Illinois this age is over 50.
  3. Point of interest; It has been claimed that marriage to first cousins was legalised by Henry 8th so that he could marry Catherine Howard, but in fact she was the cousin of his second wife, Anne Boleyn.
  4. No he wouldn't. He lucked out last time, lightning rarely strikes twice. Even average Championship teams sussed him out in 23/24, and it will be yet another season of defensive cockups and averaging 1.5 goals per game conceded.
  5. Are you related to Jacob Rees-Mogg ?
  6. When are you leaving for the States ?
  7. It depends on whether there is equivalence of regulation between those inside and those out. Prior to Brexit the UK complied with EU rules, so no issue. Post Brexit the UK has, or has shown intention to, roll back certain EU "Red Tape" and therefore can not, ( or will not ), guarantee to meet the EU's certification criteria. This, of course, works both ways, and the UK can, but currently does not, enforce reciprocal bureaucracy. There is, in all likelihood, no difference between EU and UK products, but the UK has chosen not to "surrender" it's sovereignty to a bunch of unelected Brussels ( and Strasbourg ) civil servants by signing a bit of paper that states this.
  8. Yours
  9. Daughters called Boudicca and sons called Caradoc.
  10. 12 boys are born; 3 are called Muhammed, 2 are called Stephen, 2 are called Mark, 2 are called Noah, and there are 1 each of Simon, David, and Peter. Muhammed is therefore the most popular name. Staistics are sometimes very misleading.

Better than letting a group of former Al-Quaeeda members get their hands on some heavy weaponry. Who knows how the political situation in Syria is going to develope over the coming months.
  12. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss; https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3vrw9pd16do "A government department spent almost £1,200 of taxpayers' money on two ministerial folders, official figures show, It came as Chancellor Rachel Reeves launched a crackdown on government waste. The Department for Culture Media and Sport bought the folders from luxury leather goods manufacturer Barrow Hepburn & Gale, at a cost of £594 each. Other government departments routinely buy the same folders, and ministerial red boxes, from the company, which also supplies the Royal Family. Leather-bound document holders are available in the House of Commons shop for £30. But sources suggest the extra expense is justified to enhance the image of the government. Government sources added that ministerial folders last for years and are used by successive ministers, with replacements only being ordered when the need arises."
  13. Presumably losing to Spurs will not get him the sack. Every game he stays in charge reduces the already slender possibility that a change of manager gives us a faint chance of escaping the drop.
  14. Trump says he will stop the automatic right of citizenship for those born in the US to immigrant families. Almost certainly will never happen as it is a right enshrined in the 14th Amendment, and there is no way he would get a super-majority in both Houses, nor two thirds of State legislatures to support it.
  15. He has been saying it for years, it was being reported during his first term, it's nothing new.
  16. Trump and Trudeau have history. During his previous Presidency they were having a phone conversation when Trudeau complained about US trade tariffs impacting Canada. In reply, referring to the War of 1812, Trump said "Didn't you guys burn down the White House ?".
  17. Trump says a lot of things, sometimes even contradicting himself. There are already fault lines between him and some Republicans in Congress. Once he is inaugurated we will start to see exactly how things will pan out.

  19. "The King's English", a clear colonialist reference.

    Syria

Iran, Russia, and Hezbollah, the 3 main props of the Assad regime, all have their own issues. I suppose we must now wait to find out whether Syrians have simply replaced a murderous despotic Government with a murderous religious one, one civil war for another. With disparate Islamic groups, some grown out of Al-Queeda, the Alawites fearing retribution for the actions of the Assad family, and large swathes of eastern Syria controlled by the Kurds, this won't get fixed quickly.
  24. Replacing him will not keep us up, but it might stop us being a complete joke.

Some irony in Iran saying that Ukraine should stop supporting terrorism by stopping the supply of drones to the rebels.
