The Tories could have created an enquiry in 2022, 2023, or 2024, but chose not to. As I said, there may well be scope for the possibility of such an enquiry to be debated, but playing such pathetic games is unseemly.

The point is that in the very unlikely event the amendment is passed, the entire Bill falls. ( Not that they were bothered when they were in power ). By all means raise the issue and debate whether an enquiry is necessary, but why play politics in this manner ?
