  1. That probably depends on where Russell Martin finds a new job.

    Coronavirus

    I'm amazed we have had to to wait so long for it to be fabricated.

    "The CIA assesses with low confidence...", so that's conclusive. Pure coincidence that the new Trump appointed head of the Agency took up post the day before this announcement.
  4. Those neo-Liberal fucktards at the Wall Street Journal really don't understand what they are talking about;
  5. The League 1 Minus 10 match reports often have the discussions quoted verbatim.

    He won't be sacked. Survival was a forlorn hope before he replaced Martin, and the squad are mentally already down. He has at least shown that a differant tune to Russball is possible, even with such a poor squad, and we do now posess some ( limited ) goal threat, and we can see that the players Russ froze out are no worse, and possibly better, than his favourites. Russell Martin relegated the club, aided and abetted by a grossly incompetent Board. Whoever replaced RM walked into an impossible position; I'm surprised that anybody wanted to come.
  7. Not purely Saints - "big" clubs are needed to protect the PL brand.
  8. It is still there; it expands and contracts seasonally, and is usually at its greatest extent in September and October. Last year it was measured at it's seventh smallest size since monitoring began. https://ozone.unep.org/2024-ozone-hole-ranked-7th-smallest-recovery-began

    Hamas putting on a show of strength at the release of 4 female IDF hostages.
  10. Despite the Republican majority in the Senate, Pete Hegseth only passes the vote for appointment as Secretary of Defence on Vice-President Vance's tie breaking vote.
  11. So we now do cost benefit analysis ahead of sentencing ? At what value of x, where x=£40k multiplied by number of years in the sentence, do we set the limit, beyond which we cull the prisoner ?
  12. As a tax payer I am very happy that I might be considered amongst the "younger members" despite being 3 months away from my 65th birthday. Also, in the last 44 years I have had to contribute to the upkeep of plenty of other "scum", including the Moors murderers, the Krays, Peter Sutcliffe, IRA bombers, Ian Huntley, etc, etc, etc.
  13. Yet, in a nation that has the death penalty, mass shootings at schools happen many times a year. Is calling for the death penalty in the UK a deterrant or retribution ?
  14. Once the concept is placed back on the Statute books, it is there to be amended further down the line.

    Hitler and his cronies never referred to themselves as "Nazi" as the term is a Bavarian colloquial insult for a thick peasant farmer. The term came into use to describe his regime amongst Germans exiled by his rise to power.

    A degree of autism does not excuse being a complete knob, ( even in my case ).
  22. What Trump was referring to was the first sustainable nuclear chain reaction, which indeed took place in Chicago. The team that acheived this was led by the Italian Enrico Fermi, and included Leo Szilard ( Hungarian ), Walter Zinn ( Canadian ), alongside American scientists, and built on work by Nils Bohr, a Dane who had been smuggled out of Europe in the bomb bay of an RAF Mosquito. Presumably Trump was reading from a speech prepared and written by somebody else, and after all it is just 'alternative' facts.
  23. Was anything in his speech true ? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg451wx2n63o "Scientists based in Manchester, not the US, made the "key breakthrough" in splitting the atom, despite Donald Trump's claims in his inaugural speech, says a lecturer at one of the city's universities. The 47th US President erroneously listed the feat among his country's achievements during his address in Washington DC, after he was sworn on Monday. In fact, the honour belongs to New Zealander Sir Ernest Rutherford, who demonstrated atoms could be split during experiments at Victoria University of Manchester in 1919."
