John Turner signed on a short term loan by Lancashire.

That pre-supposes we get promoted before his contract expires.

Looking forward to 6 points next season, and playing a part in sending them down in 2026.

US imports from Russia last year were over $3Bn, exports were over $500M. More likely no tariffs so as not to upset Putin during the so called "peace" talks.

Dow down 750 points on early trading today, S&P down 140, NASDAQ down 450.. Care to comment GM ?

No, the penguins have to pay more.

Same as on Somalia.

Trump's main gripe seems to be that many countries are now better at protectionism than the US, which has historically been a protectionist economy. In his zeal to rebalance global trade he faces 2 major problems: (1) trade deals are complicated and take years to negotiate, and (2) such negotiations are 2-way affairs, rather than his "take my offer or fuck off" approach.
-
We all wish he would go away, as he has promised to do, but whenever he does still pop his head above the parapet it deserves to be walloped severely and his bullshit called out.

Threaten and posture, then back down when somebody stands up to you.

GM cuts and pastes.

So what is wrong with the last trade agreement Canada negotiated with Trump ?
-
I am amazed that GM hasn't quoted today's Daily Telegraph headline; "Trump blinks first in trade war. 90 day suspension of tariffs as he bows to criticism from key backers". Or the Daily Mail.... "Trump blinks" The I... "Trump backs down in global tariff war"

Considering that last week it dropped 2200 points in one day, not really worth boasting about.
-
Trump says that the US is making $2Bn a day from the tariffs, oblivious to the fact that it is US importers, and ultimately consumers, that are paying this.

She owes over $300 thousand dollars as a result of a failed election bid in 2022, most of which is supposed to have been paid back to donors within 60 days because the donations were actually in breach of electoral regulations.
-
But the results didn't matter, it was the style of football that was important.
-
Trump says that "all these countries are ringing us asking for a deal.......kissing my arse...". Goodness only knows when these deals are likely to be negotiated or how long those negotiations might take. The last trade deal successfully negotiated and concluded by the US was the USMCA agreement with Canada and Mexico, signed off during Trump's first term; it was a reworking of the existing NAFTA agreement yet still took 2 years.

Of course the players loved him, they got paid and didn't get dropped despite shit performances every week.

A Trump appointed Judge has ruled that the Associated Press should be restored to the White House press corps after it's exclusion over refusing to rename the Gulf of Mexico was deemed in breach of the First Amendment.

Elon Musk on Peter Navarro ; "Navarro is truly a moron............ Navarro is dumber than a sack of bricks."
