Great op. Shilton Wright instead of fonte Keegan in there. However, that is only on that team, if jrod or jwp weren't playing I would have different players in there, a la Armstrong, or Wallace, but they are the three I would choose to change that team. Good to get the old grey cells out instead of just reading the same old drivel. Love to put in Davies, too young afraid, feels wrong to leave out le tissier and case. What is wrong with the world?

because they are good quality and not just the ones we have to use! at last apart from AL, i don't really care who the other three are, i think we we will give them a really good run for their money. as i have said before, on other threads, this game does not worry ne, it is the next 3 in 6 days that will show us where we are. after then do we need to start looking at us as a realistically placed top 7-8 team.

sorry to bother you all, as it is not very interesting, but, does anyone know if there was a cover for the nintendo wii for fifa 14 for the saints, or was it only the xbox? goimg to get the game for the kids for christmas and thought if i could add on the cover it would be great, if not, hey ho!

Is it on tv?

Is this your own definition of popular?

i wrote an essay on that at school about the injustices in the world!

to be honest i don't really care who he puts out. i think he will get it right on the day. yes, know who i would prefer, but it will be at about 5 o'clock when we know the rights and wrongs, and maybe travesties of it. either way, i am not too worried about the result this weekend. for me, the biggest test is the first week in december. yes the next two games are arsenal and chelsea, but look beyond that. we will have a good week off from the arsenal game, win lose or draw, but then we have an extremely hard six day period of chelsea, villa then man city. that, to me, is going to be the real test. come through that, anywhere near the top 6 and then i think we can start getting a little bit exccited!

sadly, i don't see srl starting. al yes, jrod, possibly, but my gut says that srl will come on, and sadly, it will be after one of the other two have come off. hope of hopes, all three start, or at the very least get on the pitch together at the same time, if only for a great photo of the three of them together on the pitch. even better, they link up with each other and one, any of them, score. i know, dream on, but look how the season has gone so far, who knows?

my thoughts. can't believe he would really want to play for england, just a nice way of MP making noises to those over the channel. he seems so proud that all his players are getting call ups, it must be heart breaking that someone who is doing as well as morgan is not even getting anywhere near a mention. good on yer, mp, i say.
-
f uck he looks happy to have got that!

this is brilliant rudi. i have now idea why you have so much time on your hands to do this but, as you say, it is interesting to see how some people thought at the time. now if only some on here, no names obviously, would just give some of our current players a bit of slack to fulfill potential.
-
that's him, sorry.
-
i agree. can't see him leaving to anywhere down a league, and what would be the point in letting him go to another prem club for the small price we would get for him. he is more important to us than a valuation of money can give us, so we keep him here as an inspiration and influence to the others around him, and he just gets more and more southamptoned by the day. when his playing career finshes he is then used, dodd style to keep the next generation going. he seems to have a genuine love of the club that i don't think he would have if he went anywhere slse now. use it both ways. look at how he talks with pride about both al and jr being with him at england.

didn't he give us a bit of a run around at wigan last year, or am i thinking of someone else?

Next youth player to break into the first team squad
orchardsaint replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
i know it's nice to look forward, but isn't the next few YEARS a bit too far? how do we know really who will come from the u18's in the next two? look at shaw, it isn't really beyond the realms to think that if he hadn't been given a chance he wouldn't be where he is now. that he is good enough is amazing, and well done to all involved, but our hopes should be that at least three youngsters come through, from wherever they play, by the end of next year. whatever happens, when our boys come through, then make an england squad, whatever level - still unreal feeling- the whole of the club gets an amazing buzz about it. hopefully no real feel to leave when we can achieve things here. yes of course, some will, we all know that, but keeping them coming through, then playing them is fantastic. my only real worry, and there is nothing i can do about it, because it is experience after all, is that one day we get our own goalkeeper. that would be something really special, and if he made it to the england no 1, that would cement the acadamy as the worlds foremost place to be. -
yesterday i tried to relieve the tedious anti saints bickering, both club and personal, with a bit of a look at favourite saints. today i will try again with your favourite non british saints team. try to only include players you have seen yourself, don't change rules, they are very simple. if they are english, scottish welsh or northern irish, they cannot play in this team. that includes anyone from the channel islands or any other british territory from around the world, whereby the player has then represented his british country at any level. also, if you have not got a team, or anything with a point to say on this LIGHT HEARTED thread. then please don't post. you are annoying just thinking that you will. here's mine Niemi Golac Monkou M Svensson Van Gobbel Kachloul Shneiderlin A Svensson Berkovic Ostentadt Pahars subs Boruc time served, although coming up very strong indeed, almost cult status to me in short space of time Lundekvam Delap Fernandes delgado only using five subs, and like the current squad, i wouldn't want many inujuries, but i know we have a very creative midfield, but no-one is getting past that back line!
-
no, jrod will start, even if ossie is fit, he will not mix the team up.
-
can eveyone not just stop the personal bickering and point scoring, it really is tedious and sad when you have to read all this s**t when there is no need. start another topic somewhere else, along the lines of, who you think i am, why you don't like me, why you can't just feck away off and leave us all alone? please.
-
totally this, we need to spend the next few years getting to, and staying at the level around the top EIGHT first. then as time goes on moving up from there, atracting the players we need. no good just boom and bust. enjoy where we are, but please be patient, we will get there!
-
i don't think we need, as a priority, a new lb. if injury strikes, then we know, not ideal, that that movement of clyne and use of chambers, short term is there. even the use of yoshi as full back, he plays there for his national team, no? anyway, this cup was the ideal way to see that, as you say. yes we do need to strenghten, around the squad and yes i believe that MP,NC and all the men who need to see it, saw it. we do seem to be in a position whereby we are buying to strenghten our squad, and the ones we thought were there for the long term are moved backwards. we won't buy back up players, imo, as that is what we already have and what the acadamy is for. look at the cork spiderman patnerning from last year. all expected that to be the first choice this year, but is there really anyone here who would drop big vic now? until form or injury or suspension dictates, you play your strongest squad in the league, and i for one, even though dissappointed we lost any game, am still optimistic about the rest of the season. we finished 14th last year, we are sitting 6th after a quarter of the season gone. finishing above 14th is our aim surely, then steady progressive build up to a stustained challenge towards top half football, then europe and winning things. talk of five year plans when we were league one, about being in the prem made people laugh, but it wasn't about in five years time this will happen, then all total self destruct, NC knows what he wants, and again, imho, i believe the long term future of the mighty saints will be secured by steady progress. if it comes one time with a trophy and then vanishes, a la pompey, what good is that?
-
I like the idea of keeping everyone happy, but changing in cork for the sake of it when what is there is doing a great job, seems silly. If we need to chance, injury suspension or form then yes, but not for the sake of it. We don't desperately need a lb, short term clyne moves over.
-
When did Pellegrini take over? Is NC working nights now?
-
Sorry, but you will not get far on here coming out with normal, well balanced views of our club. You have just shown yourself up as a clear minded free thinking person. Why did you bother? By the way, I agree with you, but let's not say anything, some on here will go mental.

only a bit of fun, i put the republic in just as another side. sorry, i forgot the pedantry on this site to be so amazingly awful. why couldn't you have least added your list and just not included the irish republican? and by that i mean, any player who has played for or may be considered for the playing of the republic of ireland, and not technically an irish republican, as we all know, politics is a private matter, and we don't all know what every man thinks on the subject of the monarchy, republic or socialistic free states. tedious though you are for doing that, thanks for putting it in.

which looks like a damn good decision now though doesn't it? the king is dead, long live the king. deal with it,move on.
