Hi Frank, Sounds like the weather is good in Bracknell, its ****ed down here all summer. I have heard that the pitch at St Marys has already cut up badly and is hard to play our passing game on such a bobbly pitch. I'm sure it can't get worse. Anyway, enjoy your holiday in sunny Bracknell, I'm off to sort a few leaks out.

Chelsea at home. This will give us a good indication of our ability, plus It would great if Saints were to play the overpaid ponces off the park. Other than that I would like Pompey at home, either game would be a sell out.

They will also need your support when they have a blip and things don't go quite aswell. But fair play to you in changing your stance.

With the amount of money Alan Sugar had at his disposal I would consider he failed to deliver.

I have decided to put my thingy on the block

I agree with you. We seem to have a win at all costs mentality in English football. I'm sick to death with the likes of Frank Lampard, Ronaldo Adebayor ect all of whom have put personal greed before anything else. I would love to see the clubs that are destroying English football in the top tier fall on bad times. But can you imagine the uproar if someone like Liverpool went into administartion and got penalised in the same way as Luton ect. Maybe with the credit crunch, we might see more people cancel Sky Sports. Not sure if this would be enough to damage the top clubs though. I can only hope. Rant over. -
Even if we still get further and further into debt ?

Yes,the combined total of all 3 players.

Kelvin Davis to be sold with Rasiak, Saga and Skacel
slickmick replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Agree that Bart is not good enough at the moment. With the sale of Kelvin we might be able to get a decent loan goalie from somewhere, plus £1.25m would be an incredible amount if true. This would surely mean that we could keep the rest of the squad together with the exception of Rudi and Euell. -
At last, some good news this week. Bring on the striker now.

Neimi anyone ? -
Yeh, I could understand it if we were guaranteed of getting rid of Skacel and Euell.
-
If we still have not offloaded any more players come the end of the transfer window, will Barclays still back us ? I would imagine that transfer fees would have been anticipated for more than we have recieved so far. Skacel, Saga and Rasiak just to name 3, would have expected to have been sold for a fee (maybe even Viafara). With Skacel,Euell and John still commanding a high wage,(calculated guess of approx £100k a month) will we be forced into administration if we can't move a couple of these on ?
-
I am surprised at how much better we look on the pitch. But it is the results that count at the end of the day, so we will just have to wait a bit longer to see if its going to work. p.s An administartor would have has on -10 points by now, plus the-17 for the start of next season.
-
Exactly, now you can see why RL is treating it as business as usual, rather than waiting on false promises.

Who would be your next offload to reduce the wage bill if required?

He will also know that the rewards of premiership football would be far greater. -

slickmick replied to TopGun's topic in The Saints
A survey in 2006 revealed that the average Championship footballer earns £195,750 per year, or to put it another way £3,764 a week. The figure dropped to £67,850 in League One and £49,600 in League Two. By the time we have got rid of Euell and co, we should fall within this bracket. With a squad of 24 averaging this wage, we would have a player salary of approx £100,000 a month. Compare that to last season, I would have a guess that we will be reducing the debt somewhere in the region of £100,000 to £150,000 per month. I'm sure I'll be corrected by the financial wizards. -

Another question, how many more do we need to shift to get the wage bill to a managable level. I would like to hear Lowe and Wilde tell us when we are living within our means. -
James was poor, but he won't come up against many better wingers than Quincy. So I'd give him one more chance.

Funny how people see things differently. I thought Lallana looked one of our more likely players to conjure something.
