Like the look of that, my first thoughts were to have Lallana up front with Pekhart with Wotton along side Morgan.
-
Yet it was Dyer that didn't get goalside of the overlapping runner that led to that goal.
-
Yes he was poor, but so were all the back 4. Both goals were from crosses that came from Surmans side but as he is the golden boy, so he can get away with it. Perry for me was the worse defender last night. I didn't expect him to win much in the air but would have expected him to be able to pass and tackle better.
-
Thought he was very poor last night. I wish we had cashed in on him but know one else seems interested in him. His game is so easy to read, the number of times he tries to cut inside and runs into two players waiting for him. The one and only time he took his man on on the outside and crossed the ball, we created a chance. But he doesn't have the intelligence to try it again. His shot into row Z at the start of the second half just about sums him up.

Hope so. DMG just isn't good enough, Stern anyday is a better allround player.

A win tonight and we are only 3 points behind Bristol City who have only lost once this season. So why the panick ??
-
We play one striker up front.
-
I know him a bit aswell, as our work coincides with each other now and then and can vouch for him that he is a genuine and honest fan. Keep up the good work Richard.

I didn't say they weren't. The point I was making was in response to this thread title. Leeds won the league (old 1st division to you)with lots of youngsters in their team. Can't remember all of their names, but from what I remember they had about 6 players or more under 23.
-
I would keep with the same team and system for the QPR game. We have had two weeks off to rest and re-group after the Blackpool game. There seems to be a big call for Stern to lead the line, but I would like to see what this Spurs loanee striker can offer. McGoldrich is the kind of player that splits opinions, a bit like Rasiak. I'm still not convinced about DMG but his goal ratio this season can't be argued with. Wotton definately adds some steel and experience but I have equally been impressed with Gillett. Half a game each maybe ? Anyone remember the Leeds team of about 10 years ago that was full of youngsters such as Smith, bowyer,Ferdinand ect ? A young team that won the Prem and made the semis of the Champions league. It proves that it can work.

Whats the point asking ? He would have waffled on about how they have tried to find investment or buyers and it would have to be in the best interests of SFC bla bla bla. In other words, you wouldn't have got anything out of him worth mentioning.
-
Just one more question I wished I had asked: What size gate would be required to break even once all the high earners had been off loaded ?
-
Difference is, we have announced that we are parading our young players in the shop window, whilst still being able to acheive promotion ? Not all clubs in the CCC have to sell to survive. With most it is forced upon them.
-
In my mind, it is virtually impossible for any significantly sized club with a modern stadium to survive outside the Premiership on normal operational revenue streams, irrespective of how well they are run – certainly if they are to remain competitive at this level. We have one of the best academies in the country and, combined with our integrated coaching set-up, we are now in position to achieve the twin goals of competing for promotion whilst improving our potential revenue stream from player trading - thereby making us financially more stable and self-sufficient. I really can't see how he can say we are in a position to compete for promotion, while at the same time he is saying that the only way to survive in this league is to sell our best young players. How does that work ?

Fair play for admitting it Nick. Now what was that forfiet again ???? Something about being nice to some one, who was it again ???

And I thought I could waffle.

If paying to watch what we have recently, then I couldn't give a **** who the manager/chairman is. For the first time in years everyone I know is talking about going to watch the KIDS. Rupert Lowe barely gets mentioned these days. Rupert Lowe has either got very lucky so far, or he has pulled off a masterstroke, but either way, I believe he deserves a chance to make amends. I would rather pay to watch our current team, other than the one that struggled to string two passes together back in the premiership days.

Theres also quite a few on 4 and 5 points and they wont all lose, so 7th would be near on impossible professor.

And Gary Glitter is living in Warsash.

I would guess that the big clubs would reduce the ticket prices in a similar fashion to other clubs. Therefore the gate reciepts will probably be a lot less than anticipated. Whereas, if it is at St Marys, we would get a full house at full rate aginst someone like Man Utd.
-
Me too, but would like to see what Pekhart has to offer for the last 20 mins.

They had 5 we had 4. Bart Cork Thomas Wotton
