Was it Jan's fault ? Ruperts ? Killers ? Who knows for sure. I like Jan, but sometimes he says to much. He should have simply kept quiet if it was his fault. He has now publicly sowed a seed of doubt that will get even more scrutinised when he next makes a mistake.

Who said things couldn't get worse. God help us if that happens.

I heard most fled to Pompey believing the Germans wouldn't waste bombs on them.

“Some of them are too relaxed with the defeat.”

The bloke deserves some success, lets hope he finds a way soon. -
But thats out of anyones control, what can we do other than try to urge the players to survival ? Any chance of a poll to see what people think our chances are of staying up ? I will start, by saying we will stay up.

Are their any other teams in the CCC on the verge of Admin ? Might be our best hope.

I predicted that no matter who was manager we would be in a relegation battle again but would just about survive. So my stance hasn't changed (even though I got a bit excited at our earlier performances) we are where most predicted we would be, but yet everyone is up in arms about it. Get used to it, its going to be like this all season. My main worry is administration, we must avoid this at all costs.
-
If your prediction comes true ( which I believe it will) then surely the smaller feeder clubs like ourselves will also be affected. Players like Lallana would fetch a much smaller fee, than the £5m quoted figure that is floating around at the moment. Without the profits from player sales, then surely we are doomed also ?

Maybe there is bad blood between JP and Rudi.
-
It is a hypothetical question, I know we don't have the players to play that system but what if a new manager came in and brought he few hoofers in to change our style.
-
Hoof football is not guaranteed to win, just as much as pretty football doesn't always mean defeat.
-
Would you take a season of hoof football ( Branfoot, Wimbledon, Derby ect)for a guaranteed survival from relegation, or persevere with the way we are ? It is a hypothetical question, I know we don't have the players to play that system but what if a new manager came in and brought a few hoofers in to change our style.

p.s I agree with Lallana up front but with Pekhard. Apart from that your not far off.
-
I don't rate Surman at left back, its not his natural position, the same can be said for James and yes Rudi is the other one. Cork is a more natural right back and I'd like to see Mills again at left back behind Surman on the left.
-
Kelvin Davies can jump then.
-
3 players out of position then ?
-
Thing is Cork is our only fit player that can naturally play at right back and Wotton was our only other choice as a centre back . As for Surman and Mills, they were playing in their natural positions, so I don't see any harm in that. But I do agree with trying to fit BWP and DMG into un-natural positions, they are more effective in the reserves.
-
Just goes to show how depressed Saints fans are at the moment.
-
BWP is at his peak, so its more likely he will get worse from here on.
-
The tide will turn, there is such a fine line between the top and bottom clubs in this league, unlike in the premiership. Although frustrating that we didn't win, I believe staying unbeaten for the next couple of games will see a change in confidence.

How does your Lord review the situation now ?
-
Also Dyer himself, another observation is that he doesn't make or run into space. Quite a few times a midfielder would have to play the ball square to him as he was reluctant to make a run into the corners. In the short time BWP was on, he often found space in the corners and stretched their defence even though he ballsed up.
-
Lallana went to right wing and McGoldrich played up front with Pekhard. Or at least thats how it looked, hard to tell if DMG was supposed to be in Lallanas role, but he looked to far forward most of the time.

Thought Pekhart and Morgan looked good when they came on. I think Pekhart is going to be the striker we have been crying out for. He has good ball control, works the defenders by making intelligent runs and defends from the front. He has clearly got a good shot on him and is tall and strong. All that remains to see is wether he is good in the air. Must also say how impressed I was with Kelvin Davies, he was superb and deserved having his name sung out.
