Maybe not, but better than DMG. Stern can strike a ball cleanly and score the odd long range goal. He also holds the ball up well. DMG cant strike a ball without scuffing it, cant hold a ball up to give the rest of the team time to get up field to support and as for being able to score from long range, I wont even go there. Pekhart would in my opinion be useful at set pieces (both defending and attacking) with his height. Another option is to have a look at the lad in reserve, is it Jamie White?

Also Holmes, we seem to look a lot better as a team with those two playing. But as has already been said many times, we need two big centre halves 2 full backs and a striker that can strike. Apart from that, were not to bad .

We are where we are in this league as I expected. If we are still in the same position at the end of the season, then I will be relieved and happy. So many posters were in agreeance, that know matter who was to be in charge this season, would have their work cut out to avoid relegation. Nothing has changed as far as I can see.

Looks like there's a stalemate situation going on. If as rumoured, its to do with appearance fees, then I don't see the point in playing him in the reserves either. We need to build an up and coming replacement. Either Saints stomp up the cash to play him, which seems unlikely as we are trying to cut costs, or he accepts a new offer, which he's not obliged to do, but it would be better to put yourself in the shop window by playing. At the present all parties are suffering. Will many clubs really want to take Rudi on once his contract has expired ? Even if they do, will they pay him what he commands, after a long spell without playing ? With Mills growing in confidence and experience, the time will come when we will be saying Rudi who ? has he left yet ?
