  1. Just so that I am clear on this Nick, what you are saying is, that although the four players I mentioned are our highest earners, not all are based on appearances ? May I ask how you know this ?
  2. Im not sure how many high earners have played in one single game at the same time this season, but last night we had Skacel, Ewuell, BWP and Davis. That kinda goes against what you are saying.
  3. I think Holmes could go aswell.
  4. What do you think adds up? Try and convince me with your conclusions. Not having a dig by the way.
  5. I accept what you are saying, but I now have a seed of doubt what he instructs JP.
  6. We are heading down the route that Chairman will no longer require a team manager, just a fitness/training coach. The QPR situation is what's worrying me with the RL involvement. I am sure there is more to do with this than finances.
  7. Not against him popping in to say good luck ect under normal circumstances. But add the fact he instructs JP what players to choose from makes me feel very uneasy about him being in the changing room full stop now. What if its more than just good luck speech ? Not sure I believe thats all it is.
  8. You would be peeved off if your CEO instructed your manager to move you to a different position in the company if you felt that you were better than your replacement. Then when he came down to introduce himself to you, would you still feel bouyed. The only person who would be bouyed is the person that has taken your position (DMG).
  9. Why should we accept he doesn't have a part in the rest of the set up ?
  10. Your above statement doesn't support the bold type.
  11. I can't get my head around this, RL tells Jan what players he can choose from, then goes into the changing room, saying who knows what, and some on here can't see a problem with that ??? FFS, can't you see this is wrong ? Fair enough if he wasn't effectively picking the team, but to give a team talk or whatever, on the back of this is ludicrous. All this does is make it look more and more obvious that JP is his assistant. It now begs the question, does Rupert tell Jan what he should be working on in training. Stick to your field of expertise Rupert and let Jan stick to his.
  12. Tonight we will win, thats a FACT.
  13. You can say that about a lot of managers. Lawrie wasn't a success either after he left us. Those that were successful at other clubs and came here failed also. Redknapp, Burley to name a couple.
  14. I wasn't suggesting getting Pearson back, I was just pointing out that his wages couldn't be afforded, yet we can afford three loan players who aren't first choice players and two Dutch coaches. Add all those wages together and I would be surprised if it was much less than Pearsons salary, the one we couldn't afford.
  15. Don't agree with much you say, but I agree with some of what your saying here. But like other posters have said, getting rid of Nigel Pearson was, in my opinion the biggest mistake, all because of the McMenemy link. 2 wins 2 draws and 1 defeat in 5 games and he's no longer required. I'd sooner send back Pekhart, Roberson and Pulis and use that money towards keeping Pearson and his supposedly extravagant wages. I like the way that Jan tries to get the team to play, but in this league we need a sgt major type who can install some fight to grind out results. Pretty football with kids (small ones at that) aint goin to work. The perfect kind of manager will have a mixture of both the above. Now if only Glenn Hoddle would accept our wage offer !
  16. I'm dissapointed that JP and Wotte have failed to bring some loan players in from Holland. When it was announced that these two would be managing us, my first reaction was that they would bring some cheap talented Dutch players with them. So far we have brought in crocked players like Gasmi and Pullis. Surely with their contacts in Holland, there must be quality players that would be interested in joining us ? The odd Leroy Lita kind of player that can't get into the first team with their respective club but could do a job for us. I understand they aren't to familiar with players that are available in this country, so whats stopping them having a few trialists over here ?
  17. Now he's at Spurs, will he take the blame when they go down ?
  18. Think he has already tried him in that role and Morgan looked out of place.
  19. mmm.. good thinking.
  20. Glad you did, I've read it 5 times and Im still lost.
  21. Oh no . God help us if its DMG. Would prefer BWP and thats bad enough.
  22. Now that combination looks a lot more exciting. BUT I would still rather we concentrated on our defence. This is the area we need to be bringing players in more urgently.
