Or if it meant us losing to a team that got Pompey relegated, then I would want us to lose. Might even start a pitch invasion.
-
It wasn't a gamble, it was the only choice.

Shame, hoping he would be better than McGoldrick.
-
Long shot, if things are as bad as you portray them to be then why is Michael Wilde letting it happen ? Surely he would have acted by now ? As for wanting us to lose. NO WAY, a good run of results and a chance of sniffing around the tails of the top six and all will be forgotten.

Best and most logical post so far. -

What would your views be if you knew Rupert was part of the team selection at present ? This isn't a dig or to try to catch anyone out, just wondered what peoples views are on this. If he is, and its a success, then he deserves the credit. If it fails, then he deserves to pay the consequences. Thats my opinion. -

What do you think he meant by this bit ? 'if we had let Harry get on with the job he could have put Southampton back in the Premier League and I believe that.' -
Is it just me, but Nickg and Nickh both defend the indefensible. They never post at the same time either.

Another piece of the jigsaw. Not quite the big fat juicy centre bit we were first led to believe, but another piece all the same. -

'if we had let Harry get on with the job he could have put Southampton back in the Premier League and I believe that.' Slight contradiction here. One minute Rupert isn't interfering, then the next see above. -
You sir, are obsessed.

But the lower class at the other end of the M27 seem to be in advanced talks with a gold digging South African ? And they are a much bigger loss making company than us.
-
Any chance of finding some new board members ? Oh yeh, nearly forgot, and a couple of full backs.
-
Have big concerns about his involvement with team selection, so on that basis I think its time for him to go. But as some one else has said, only if he is bought out so that their is no chance of him returning.

Your tarring everyone who disapproves of Bassetts comments about Lowe with the same brush. To some, its not about a class issue or his football/ hockey knowledge. For me, I was not opposed to his return, because as you say, it didn't work for the other guys either. I don't soley blame him for our relegation either. I have accepted that his cost cutting measures are probably required to some extent. I fully understand and agree with the idea that some youngsters should be breaking into the first team. But I totally disagree with the Idea of him picking the team, or having any influence on team matters. This just adds more weight to the rumour that he has told DMG that he is our first choice striker. How many others are of his choice ? If this is the case, which is now looking probable, then he can be the one and only to blame for our position in the league. I've always disliked Harry Redknapp, but who the hell could put up with some rookie looking over your shoulder all the time and telling you how you should do your job ? I would really like to know if Jan could do better under different leadership.

I have heard that we officialy have the worst record for Live Sky games. Does anyone know if this is true ?

'I'm too old for youth team football, so I will be playing and training with the reserves at a very, very high standard every day' Jack Boyle Too old for 1st team aswell.
-
Good point, but I doubt he had the team picked for him at his last club.

Durr... forgot about him.:smt087

Only because until now its been hearsay from the man down the pub. Now we have something more concrete to go on. The reason this story is so damaging, is the effect it will have on the supporters. We could see our gates plummet even further and this I believe could force a u turn amongst the board.

This revelation should bring this forum to life. The Echo have to run this story, after all this could be the beginning of the end for Rupert.

Euell has got to be worth a try. I also noticed that we started playing better when we played more narrow through the middle, which seemed to take City by surprise a bit. They played 5 in midfield to stop any attacks down the wings, which apart from a couple of early attempts by Thompson, seemed to have us sussed out very easily. Maybe with Skacel as the attacking midfielder we would have had a better supply down the left. I can't understand why our best assist player is being held back in defence and surely his sell value would be greater if played in midfield. I know everyone has been praising Cork, but I thought he was our weak link on saturday. He got beat with ease on to many occasions, but he is still better than anyone else in that position. My Team for Wolves would be: Davis Cork Svennson/Lanc Pearce Mills ? Morgan Surman Skacel Euell White/DMG

Row Z at Bramall Lane are getting a lot of catching practise from his crosses.

Alongside White would be better.
