I thought Cork was taller than Pearce ? I agree James isn't a natural right back, but neither is Cork, he got skinned easy in both the Bristol City and Wolves games. For now I would keep it as it is and maybe bring on Pearce if we need to.

If those boycotting, or hoping we will lose, have any principles they wouldn't dare think about attending a possible play off final.

So Who Do You Think Will Be Sold & For How Much?
slickmick replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Throw in Rasiak, Scatchel and Euell aswell and just maybe we could get £2m to £3m for this lot. Their wages would probably account for the younger players being affordable to keep. But as we know its unlikely we will be able to shift more than 2 or 3 of them so our prized assets would have to be sold. -
Pearce... the next John Terry.

Do I know you ?

Way off the mark last time. Plymouth H 1 v 1 draw Charlton A 1 v 2 win Sheff W H 2 v 1 win C Palace A 1 v 0 lose Burnley A 2 V 0 lose All five games look winnable, but realistically I think it will be seven points from five again.

Sheffield Wednesdays wage bill is 58% of turnover compared to our 81%. They made a profit of just over £3m, including player sales. Just goes to show it can be done, even though it has taken Sheffield near on 5 years to turn things around. If we had a blistering run of form which put us within touch of promotion between now and January transfer window, would Barclays give us until the summer to hold on to our players ?

Charlton fans walked out with 30 mins to go according to ssn, pressure will be on them next week. Another away win for us.

How exactly do you go about approaching someone at the club if you believe you have seen a talent that is worth looking at ? I'm sure there are a few people that are Saints fans that have seen or played with, or against, someone that you think is head and shoulders above the others but have slipped through the net that could have had a chance if someone had taken the word of an ordinary fan, just as it is in this case with MW. He is no more qualified to make a judgement than you or I. I wonder if the likes of Andy Townsend or Jason Dodd would have ever made it professionally if we hadn't have given them the chance. If one of us saw what we thought was a player that could solve one of our problems, would the club take any notice and follow it up ? I hope this lad can make the step up because we are now in a position that we rely on our scouting network more than ever.

I'm no expert in these things, but wouldn't the same opportunity apply to other potential Investors ?

Saints Greatest XI - Nominations For Best LB.

Denise Rolfe... only kidding. Mark Dennis for me, he scared the sxxt out of wingers. -
Exactly the same, but my worry is we are going to lose Lallana, Skacel and Schniederlin in January and was hoping to amassed enough points by then to give us a bit of a cushion before the run in.

The ability of the players is a big factor but don't try telling me that playing the same formation at home week after week and still not winning doesn't have a bigger factor. It has to change for home games and that is down to the manager.

My argument is that if Pearson was our manager and we were still in the same position, people like yourself would be calling for his head, yet are willing to accept what we have at present.
-
Almost, except, 1/ I don't think Pearson was in charge for 16 games. 2/ He would have got loanee defenders, which is our weak area instead of unneccesary midfielders. 3/ Will we ever be sure that Pearson was on so much more money than Jp & co. 4/ Arsene Wenger is playing kids that are younger and wiping the floor with teams in the CCC.
