Stanley has this misconceived idea that its all about him and that Lowe will do what he can to get one over the boycotting fans. Whereas the reality is he couldn't be further from the truth.

Broken record.

We must have some Liverpool fans posing as Saints fans on here, they booed their team off the pitch last night for only securing a point at home, which took them to the top of the Premiership. How terrible for them, you can't help but feel sorry for the poor souls. We seem to have the same kind of negative fans on this forum.

That article is a bit misleading. Its all based on assumptions. We would have got some kind of income from this round no matter who we got drawn against. The only extra is the £160,000 TV revenue IF we get televised. Had we say, drawn Coventry at home, our gate would have been about 15000 bringing receipts for our cut at about £155,250. Man utd with a gate of 32000 would pocket us approx £331,200. Thats a difference of about £175,950. £175,950 might help us just about break even for one month only. So unless we get televised and earn a replay which is also televised, we would still need to win at Old Trafford and hopefully draw Arsenal away in another televised game before it made much of a slight difference. We are more likely to get £500,000 for the sell of some one like Saganoski

How many more games will DMG play before people realise he's just not good enough. His goal ratio answers that one. Patterson deserves to be given as much of a chance that DMG has had, certainly seems more up for it. Saga played about half that amount and with a team that didn't look anywhere near as good as this lot. I'm not convinced he would set the world alight, but I would start him ahead of DMG to see how he does in this new system.

Will ST holders be able to by extra tickets for Man Utd?
slickmick replied to derry's topic in The Saints
Not a chance going by previous history. They will take this game seriously. This has been the biggest team we have played, for what seems like years now and may well be years before we play them again. That is why this game is going to be so popular. -
Amended.

Fair point.

Saga, John and Patterson are all better strikers than DMG.

Well I know 2 who haven't and they have only paid £15 into the clubs coffers this season (or what ever the membership amout is). They only did this because they missed out with the play off game against Derby. I am sure they aren't the only ones. I have only been to three games this season, so technically dont deserve to get a ticket ahead of the more loyal fans. That I can except, but not to lose out to glory supporting fans.

1st Season ticket holders 2nd Members that have attended a said amount of games 3rd Those on the data base for attending said amount of games. 4th Season ticket holders to have a said amount of extra tickets. 5th Membership holders that haven't attended enough games. 6th General sale.

Will ST holders be able to by extra tickets for Man Utd?
slickmick replied to derry's topic in The Saints
I know some members that haven't been to a single game this season. They only bought a membership incase a big game materialised. -
Membership holders that haven't been to a game this season to get priority, over those that have attended a number of games this season can't be right.

slickmick replied to derry's topic in The Saints
Problem being many of those extra tickets could end up in Man Utd hands. Those that have attended a certain amount of games should get next priority. It might mean some will have to attend our next three home games to get to that figure. This will stop Man Utd fans getting their grubby mits on our tickets. As for memberships, that means Jack sh1t if you haven't been to any games this season. -
Never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I think Kelvin should have won it. He has been the difference between being where we are now or in the bottom 3. Although Cork is a quality player, I just don't rate him as a right back.

Is this thread about strikers or the Charlton game ?

Will Saints be reducing store prices with the VAT cut as of Monday?
slickmick replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
In my business, the costs have reduced (mainly by playing suppliers, one against the other) as competition has got squeezed. So back to the first post, I would be very dissapointed if the club dont reduce the prices in the Megastore and will refuse to buy from there if they dont. -

slickmick replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
But in the construction industry its not so easy. For example: If you had a quote within the last month for a kitchen costing £7500 inc vat, the vat amount (7/47) would be £1117.02. Now as from Monday that customer would expect to now pay £7340.42 inc 15% vat (3/23). The Kitchen company are within their rights to increase their net price, but it wouldn't take long for word to spread and get a bad name. Honest companies will honour the change. Dis-honourable ones will soon get found out and be the losers in the long run. -
One that was very suspect injury wise from the start, make that 2 if you add Thomas. Like most recent seasons, we seem to have an abundance of midfield players bought or loaned in, but remain thread bare in defence.

Thought he hinted that he would be back for the Reading game. If he is out there, hope he doesn't try negotiating.
-
No, he's shrinking.

Had a strong feeling we would beat Reading, but this game against Plymouth is giving me negative vibes. They seem to be one of those horrible unknown teams that always drag us down to their level of play and beat us by boring us to death. Tonight would be a good time to change that. That would set us up nicely for the Charlton game. We could be 9 points clear of relegation by Saturday evening.

Only 5'10' ? Does surprise me. I thought he was a lot taller.
