Hes had over 20 games of support to get things right and it aint working. So whats wrong with saying that ? Even Jan criticized the strikers after that game. Some times players need a good rollicking, some need consolling. DMG has had both and as Adrian says, you make up the lack of skill with effort and try harder. DMG does neither. He should have been dropped a long time ago and that is the Managers fault.

Its time to ditch this man in the hole and trying to thread the eye of a needle kind of play. Its time to be a bit more direct and make oppposing defenders work harder. If we could catch teams on the break and supply high balls into the box Pekart is the only one who has a chance of winning the ball in the air. I have only seen him play against Ipswich and he looked OK. But from what I have read on hear he sounds as if he has been poor. But so has DMG and he has been given a lot more games to prove himself.

I wonder if Crouch had been in charge, would he have brought Leroy Lita in and paid towards his wages ? I believe he would have been the difference between staying up or going down. But then again I have a good feeling that John and Saga could be our saviours, as they were in our last game of the season against Sheff Utd.

Notts Forest's defence was as nervous and shaky as hell for the first 15 mins, but as soon as they realised how little a threat DMG and Lallana were, they grew in confidence and thats where the game was lost. January we have John and Saga back from loan spells, lets hope we use them.

On todays evidence, I would say that we would be a better team if they left in January, but who pay money for them after watching such gutless performances. Lallana looks like he is kicking a lead ball most of the time. When will he learn that you have to clear the first man from a corner ? When will Jan learn that he can't kick a ball more than 15 yards. DMG looks more interested in holding hands with his marker. Surman is far to light weight and gave the ball away so many times when in good positions. His fault for the second. James,Skacel, Cork and Davies were the only one to come away with some credit.

I would be happier with Jan if he would mix it up a bit. Play different formations against different teams, be unpredictable and not so easy to read. We do struggle defensively against more direct and physical teams. Why not try playing a sweeper system once in a while ? Had we played the first half against Burnley and the game against Crystal Palace with the below formation I think we could have picked up a couple of points. Enough teams come to St Marys by putting every man behind the ball, so why don't we try it ? ....................Davies................ ....................Perry................ James......Cork......Pearce............Mills Thompson.....Wotton....Euell...Skacel ........../Patterson/BWP/Roberson............. We may not create much with this team, but we would have a better chance of picking up an away point.
