For me if the above happens I don't believe anyone can argue that it wouldn't be deemed a success. If we get relegated without going into administration, but clear our debts, not a success but not a failure either. If we go into administration then Lowe has failed. P.S Guided, I thought Pompey were £66m in debt before the sale of Defoe and Diarra(whatever his name is) This would leave them approx £30m in debt with saleable assets like Crouch, James and Johnson ect. Plus if they survive they have Premiership money coming in next season. If they get relegated then thats a different matter they would be in trouble, or if they fail to sell any of the above. Also heard that Liverpool had an extension of only 6 months to repay short term debts of £280m.

No but Burley had £7m to buy good quality that should have been good enough to get us promoted. Not scrapping into 6th place on the last game of the season.

Maybe a fairer comparison would be to only include Lawries record in the second tier and compare that to Burleys.

So with money we wouldn't be where we are ? Would a fairly average team + £7m to spend help ? Teams like Bristol City, Cardiff ect would be considered serious title contenders if they were given £7m to spend at the start of the season.

Undersoil heating should prevent any chance of it being called off. Pitch invasion during the game to oust Rupert Lowe is more likely.

I will happily play crap all season like we did against Barnsley if it means we win more than we lose. But what will be crap is if we go and play Doncaster off the park and still fail to win. That would be crap.

Going by reports of the game, we were lucky, it so easily could have been another defeat if not for KD. Although its great to get the three points, the performance will have to be improved if we are to win against Doncaster and Norwich. So lets enjoy the win, but be very concerned that we won't get that lucky very often.

Does that mean Saga isn't in the plan. If he plays tommorrow then I can't see us signing Lupoli.
