  1. While Lowe and Wilde are still at the club it wouldn't matter who we got in as manager. Its too late. Next season should see a new board with a plan in place for league 1 football as we speak.
  2. It was about this time last year that Pearson came in, we were a team in decline as we are now except we are in a much worse position. So personally I don't think who ever was brought in would have saved us. Maybe at the start of the season yes but for now Wotte has as much chance as anyone. Personally I think appointing Wotte has given Rupert Lowe more rope to hang himself with.
  3. If only, if we can win our next home game then the voodoo wil have been broken, you never know. That next home game will be the one that tells me if we have a chance or not.
  4. That is if he drops himself.
  5. Would if I knew what he was like. Both full backs are our problem but with the two experienced pro's in front of them, they should get more support and cover. (In theory)

My version of phrase is something I heard some time ago, I think it was from the SAS bloke, McNabb. So you are probably right.

  9. Our weakest link is the right side of the field. McLaggon for me is not going to do enough to protect James, neither is Surman who as Adrian says, is to lightweight, plus he is a left footer. This side of the field is and has been our major problem all season.
  10. ---------------Davis----------- James-----Size-----Perry------Molynuex Wotton?----Euell----Surman----Skacel ---------Saga-----Patterson------- Subs: BWP, Lallana, Morgan, McLaggon

  12. If that was true, we would stay up. If only.
  13. Adebayor for free, but Rupert doesn't like his attitude.
  14. Arsenal player I bet.
  15. Does that include Woolston ?
  16. Good thing about these take over threads is the way they are still enjoyed, even if it is to rip there credability apart. Anyone else see Souness at the Hampshire club recently ?
  17. Sums it up perfectly.
  18. I thought he was weighed down by all the kebabs he knicks.
  19. The thing about that tackle, bad as it was, he shows he is willing to get stuck in and fight for every ball. From what I have seen of him he doesn't look to be the answer but neither is DMG and he has had a lot more opportunities. We haven't seen Patterson play along side Saga yet. Worth trying two strikers that will make opposing defences know they've been in a game.
  20. I wonder if Chelsea fans will with Abromovich.
  21. Nick, its reasurring to hear you say the squad is united and confident under Wotte. I hope he gets the same kind of spirit and commitment from the players that I believe Pearson did. Myself, and I would guess many others, will give Wotte all the backing they can to get us out of trouble because at the end of the day we don't have much choice. The two reasons I have my doubts about Wotte is: Firstly, recent history of appointing within has always failed, Dodd, Wigley, Gray. Secondly, he seems to have had little impact on the team when he was with JP. Some posters have suggested that Wotte is hated/not liked by the players yet your information would suggest differently ? can you elaborate on how you know ?
  22. Weve been out foxed.
  23. Fine, if you have seen posters call him a legend then a will accept your word for it. I have read a lot of the Pearson debates and have not seen that comment, so my apologise. I would guess that most pro Pearson supporters would agree that we would have still had a fight on our hands this season, but at least there would have still been some fight. (and hope.)
  24. Who and how many people have said that ? Exagerating eh Nick ?
