Thursday we had a few on here spreading doom and gloom, hinting that they knew we were finished. Now they are moaning that our saviour might not be as good as it could have been. For christ sake, just be thankful that we should be starting next season.

Can you tell me why you think the siting of St Marys is in a worse location,compared to Fratton Park ? I agree that the way they have developed the docks and intergrated it with the sea front has put them light years ahead of us. But beyond the water frontage is nothing but a sh1t hole. The whole town is just a mass of tiny terraced houses that have no frontage. You can step out your front door and into your car in one step. Status in that dump depends on how many pitbulls you own, that doesn't include their tattooed women. One thing we have that they will never have is class.

If a bid was unlikely then I'm sure Fry would have told the staff not to come in Monday as we are going to the wall. Just chill out, I would guess that the deadline we have been waiting for is next Friday because I can't see Fry asking the staff to carry on working without wages for another week. Takeover bidder to be announced by Wednesday is my guess.

Not sure if Pinnacle have been mentioned as being this close to a deal. Last I read on here was that they were all jumping ship. Now they are the front runners again. Depends who you believe, Solents sources or this forums.

Solent did say that Pinnacle were finalising a deal, with a believed Irish consortium also making a late bid.

Sounds like the Irish rumour could be just that, to force Pinnacle into action.

Solent have just said an announcement expected later today. Pinnacle are close to finalising the deal.

Still nothing on Radio Solent, the 10am news said they had been told, that Mark Fry would be making an announcement today.

Presuming Aviva would be getting £9m-£10m out of that £14m, it would mean they are writing off about £13m-£14m.

Less £2m a year on morgage payments. Doesn't sound right to me. Got a horrible feeling that out of this quoted £14m, a percentage is going to shareholders.
