  1. Just out of interest, why didn't the club hold a press conference about their proposed plans before they were submited to the council ? I do wonder if a press conference would have been called for Wednesday if the story hadn't leaked by Sky Sports.
  2. Just heard on Wave FM someone from the Echo (didn't catch name) putting their side of the story across. This guy was a muppett of the highest order. His comments along the lines of 'hey these things happen with journalists' and the bit about how even Rupert Lowe never stooped to this level before left me gobsmacked at this blokes arrogance. Can't blame Cortese for being peed off with these idiots.
  3. Bit confused by this. If it was public knowledge before the Echo ran the story, then why try and keep it underwraps ?
  4. Also repeated by the BBC. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8405591.stm Why do they refer Faraj as being a tycoon ? It makes it sound as if he's rich.
  5. Lets hope our home gates start getting even bigger.
  6. Stick the reserves in. Concentrate on the Leeds game.
  7. six out of the last seven games we have scored 3 a game.
  8. Round 2 ? Feck me I hope it does reach round 6.
  9. I would have taken up duck shooting and accidentally shot someone.
  10. I like to be a mod. Then I can give infractions to anyone that doesn't agree with me.
  11. If we are 8 points from playoffs by the end of this month, then maybe Mr Cortese will be more willing to let Pardew get in who he wants. I still believe this squad will be dismantled next year if we miss out on promotion and it will be hard to find better replacements for some of them.
  12. There usually is half the division competing for a play off spot.
  13. Leeds, Norwich and Charlton will definately be in the top 6. Huddersfield are likely to aswell. So that leaves 2 spaces. MK Dons, Bristol Rovers and Swindon are nothing to worry about. So that leaves Walsall, Colchester and Millwall, hopefully we can cross Walsall off that list by Saturday evening. So in summary I think we will be competing with Millwall and Colchester as long as we beat Walsall.
  14. I agree with your last paragraph, but why would we crash and burn trying to reach 6th ? With that logic we will crash and burn next season trying to get automatic promotion.
  15. Where does it say that ? He has a point though, we do need to win these sort of games if we are to make the play offs.
  16. Started with 4 5 1 changed it to 4 4 2 then back again to 4 5 1 to close the game out. Apart from taking Papa off (who I thought was causing Wycombe lots of problems) his tactics were spot on. Also a mention to the defence and Bart, thought they looked very solid.
  17. Exactly how I saw it aswell. Morgan and Hammond need to play a first time ball more often. Papa was taking up some good positions and making good runs only for the pass to be delayed to long.
  18. Shame you jumped to one conclusion.
  19. If the roles were reversed, who would you want your wife to save ? Your son or yourself ? That should help with the answer.
  20. Cant believe ..those who would rather win the JPT instead of promotion.:confused:00
  21. I wonder if some of the respondents would respond the same way face to face.
  22. That line reminds me of the bad old take over days.
  23. All the clubs you mention all share the same City. I can't ever see two seperate cities sharing grounds.
  24. Some of the comments on here are suggesting that to reach the play offs are unrealistic because it would require an average of 2 points a game. Then I guess it would be unrealistic that we will get automatic promotion next year or the year after because we will need a similar return of points to do so. So on that basis maybe we should aim a lot lower next season and target 6th place.
  25. Instead of a caddy, can I have a divot replacer and lost ball finder ?
