  1. My understanding is if there had been a weapon such as a bottle involved it would more likely be the more serious GBH. I think he would be unlucky to serve a sentence if he has a clean record but you can never tell.
  2. Oh FFS no I wouldn't. Read the bloody posts. And point me to where I disagree with everything the club does you tedious little scrote. If people would stop starting threads about the kit and then bumbing them, I wouldn't comment on them. When was the last time I started a thread on this.
  3. Go the Eagles
  4. Damn right. I can think of no more pressing issue in football or life. Tackling the budget deficit? Pah. Cameroon and Milliband need to wise up and tackle this Sash issue before it spreads.
  5. I beg your pardon???? Channon played his most famous football not in stripes ???????? Mike Channon played his first game for Saints in 1966, and until he left the first time in 1977 played in nothing but red and white stripes. Keegan played in a Red and White stripe (sic) shirt.
  6. I'm not voting on this as I think there is not much to choose between the two. Dickson is improving so maybe I could vote for him by the end of the season.
  7. I don't think it was as much as 52% of the time, but as the dark blue looked pretty much like black it's a much much smaller issue.
  8. Most arguments are purely subjective, and not contradicted by the poll where only 40% like it.
  9. If I had been around the table 120 odd years ago when a change from the sash to squares was proposed i would have voted against it. So no i have not undermined my own argument. Put everything aside about aesthetics and it being a white kit, my bottom line argument is red and white stripes is our traditional kit and has been for all but a handful of our 125 years and we should not through tradition aside so readily. And we look like a bunch of ******* Beauty Pageant contestants in it.
  10. Some officious Moderator has locked the original thread on the grounds that it could be included in the general Man U thread. Well the Australian man U thread seemed to survive as did several other Man U threads. Plenty of people posted on it specifically about whether they were particularly excited about the prospect of the 'great' Man U at SMS My guess is the moderator locked it as it could be construed as not 100% backing for all things Saints. The same moderator who locked Dunes thread speculating about Adkins going to Liverpool. Why not discuss it. Was never going to happen, but the whole point of a Fans forum is to discuss serious and silly ideas. Not stomp about only allowing approved threads, that never say anything negative or just talk about who's going Tranmere. Rant over.
  11. Am I alone in not being the least bit excited about the Man U game? Loads of JCL Saints fans sitting around me at best, Dads with their Man U supporting kids at worse. £30 a ticket, when it's on TV, why bother? It's just a distraction we don't need. I'm much more looking forward to Notts County, Tranmere Rovers and Charlton.

    History

By definition we have more history than then. Nailed on, unarguable fact. 1885 versus 189(?) We've had more seasons in the top flight We have a much bigger support. We may have only won the FA Cup once, but we did it with style, unlike buying it by using players we couldn't afford, and then beating lower league opposition in the final (which was the least watched FA Cup final in History). FACT. And when they go around making up 'facts' like the scum story, they're never going to be believed.
  13. I think the sash looks utter crap. Irrespective of whether we should be wearing it or not (obviously we shouldn't be), it look gash. No team looks good in any sort of sash kit. They are not popular because they are aesthetically displeasing, they look lob sided, and our kit is basically white from anything other than straight on. Teams of substance don't change their traditional kit. Get back to the tradition kit and ignore this bastard child of a strip.

    Ed Milliband

Every time Ed Milliband faces Cameroon across the dispatch box he makes Cameroon look like fumbling schoolboy who's just wet himself. By the time the Condem love fest falls apart Ed Milliband will be ready to wipe the floor with old bubblegum face.
  15. Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted ML bought us when he did. But it was a wise investment. To listen to some posters on here would be to believe ML had Red and White blood cursing through his veins from birth. He bought us as an investment (nothing wrong with that) and very sadly died a few months later. I don't want to belittle him or his memory at all, but in the history of SFC it's only a foot note.
  16. I think ML was probably a really great guy. But was he our 'savior' ? No. Would we have gone bust if he hadn't bought us ? The evidence strongly suggests not.
  17. Yep, I'm not forking out £30 for this one. I'll be in the pub as well.
  18. Yippee, we're down to six. Now all we have to do is get rid of the 'live text' thread which nobody has posted on since the begging of October, and maybe the prediction league thread, also unpopular, and we'll have a better looking board. (Talking of prediction leagues can I mention the current leader of the prediction league is a certain Docker-P)
  19. There are too many stickies. You mods need to limit yourselves to three, maybe four, stickies at any one time. Not Seven. All those Man U threads could sink or swim by their own merits. And nobody gives a flying uck about live text commentary. Come on guys, this is basic good housekeeping.
  20. He should stay where he is. The Bournemouth fans love him and have no expectations. Leave for another club and the pressure will be on; and performing under pressure is a whole new ball game.
  21. We should try to win every game with the strongest side. But if or when, we get knocked out we should look at the bright side of being able to concentrate on the league. Potential injuries aside, I can't see a down side to a good cup run. When was the last time a third flight team got to an FA Cup final?
  22. Liverpool
  23. Its a tough question. As a fan i want us to win every game. But will our chances of promotion be helped by more cup games? No. But as has been pointed out winning is a habit. So all I wish for is no injuries and I'll take anything else as it comes.
  24. I wish people would stop posting 'news' from the Daily Hate Mail. Whatever caused the death of these birds no doubt, the BBC, Europe, and immigrants had a hand in it.
  25. They don't bother any more. Why post something you have a reasonable belief to be true, from someone in a reasonable position to know, only to get a dozen posts from people giving you grief for posting it?
