Corteses modus oporandi is shockingly bad. He constantly screws up the easy things and then blames 'dark forces'. If he's so bothered by a couple of old players and an even older manager he shouldn't be running a football club. Everybody was behind him to start with, he's only got himself to blame. What I think would be best for SFC is for the Liebherr family to take an active interest in the club, get rid of Clotese and get in a CEO with experience of running a football club.

Well said. LM and MLT are probably the two most significant figures over the last 40 years for Southampton FC. To constantly disrespect them and their achievements as NC's agenda appears to be, is to disrespect the history of SFC.

Perhaps it's because they are genuinely concerned by the way the club we all love is being run? That's nothing new, Kenny Dalglish had plenty to say about Liverpool in the years he wasn't there. People who are so happy to fawn over NC at every chance, need to bear in mind who gave us the greatest day in the history of the club, and the bed rock for success that was established there after. Lawrie Mac and Matt Le Tissier have done more for this club than any others in the last 40 years and are more than entitled to have there say.

You're absolutely right Matts contribution as a player is the stuff of legend. And it saddens me that people are so quick to forget that. The issue is the club we all love is prepared to treat its greatest legend in such a shoddy manner. It's well know NC has a very thin skin but this is ridiculous. I can't recall any public comment by MLT critising NC, but if he has he has earned the right to do so.

This just illustrates to me what a prize doughnut NC is. Yet again his actions are those of a petulant toddler.

Dinner invites with NC are ten or so at a time. A broadcast Q & A session reaches tens of thousands, surely the later is better. And as for season ticket holders opinion being more worthy, i know of 2 season ticket holders who aren't even Saints fans!
