Christ it took nearly 50 posts before someone could say it. They have not won 14 out 16 or whatever it is for nothing. For all our possession they always looked confident on the ball and worked hard getting players back being the ball when we went forward, and opening up quickly when in possession. Face it the best team won. But i still think we'll be cool for automatic promotion.

"Everyone likes Cortese". Thats not my experience. Everyone I speak to is at best ambivalent about him, or at worst hate him; which explains why people are suspicious of pro-Cortese posts. FWIW, i think most peoples problem with NC is the contempt he displays not only to the legends of our club, but long standing fans and sponsors. The bottom line is the only thing positive NC has done is employ NA. But when every fan, newspaper and neutral commentator had identified NA as the best man for the job it's hard to give NC too much credit for this.( Especially as you'll remember he very nearly screwed this up too!). This of course will not stop him claiming sole credit for this and putting his mug on the front of another program.

Just a reminder. It was NC who chose to re-open this can of worms in a national newspaper. Not MLT. And he chose to do so in the middle of our best start to a season in memory. Distraction? What a strange little man he is.

We don't need NC. Don't confuse our current success on the pitch with anything NC has contributed. Yes he signed NA. But every newspaper, fans board etc had idenified NC as the right man for us, and lets face it NC very nearly screwed this signing up too. NC is an egotistical pen pusher. MLT is a legend, the likes of which our club and any other club, will not see the likes of again. If you can even consider siding the little jumped up banker over a legend, you are not a Saints fan. And thats a fact.

Cortese is an embarrassment to Southampton FC. MLT and LM and all the other legends that Clotese have fallen out with and a have Saints what it it, will be around long time after that little squirt has slopped off. Has there ever been such a "look at me" article written?
