I swear I could tell this post was you without even looking at the poster (or the avatar). Same f**king crap in every game's build up thread since the start of the season. "Lucky if we don't get thrashed", "We will lose", "Can't see us getting anything", "Another defeat", "We are woeful", etc. Give it a f**king rest will you. The kind of defeatist attitude you display is disgusting and not in the least bit befitting of a Saint. Go and support Pompey if you want to be negative but this constant bringing down of our team and playing down our prospects for the next game p!sses me off, and you can be bloody certain I'm not the only one. The fact that you often are the starter of these build up threads to open up with a "woe is us" statement and spread your negativity around the forum shows you deliberately want to bring us down and wipe away all confidence and excitement we have for the upcoming fixture. Why do you insist on making us all miserable? It's about f**king time you gave it a rest. So please do us all a favour and don't post on these threads in the future. Blimey you're worse than Dalek and Alpine combined.

I did NOT say he is a bad player - he is amazing - like S-Clarke I'd take him back in heartbeat, but for S-Clarke to say he is the "best left-sided player in WORLD FOOTBALL" is a wee bit over the top and complete b0llocks if I'm honest. Is he great? Yes. World-class? Potentially. One of the best? Absolutely. Best left sided player in world football?????!!!!!! :scared: Gimme a f**king break.

You can't be serious can you? One of the most overrated players in the prem, if not world football at that. A couple of my Spurs supporting mates tell me he is the most frustrating player around. One game he'll be on fire (usually the big occasions), the next he'll be anonymous. Against us I seem to remember he disappeared second half! Other times they say he runs and huffs and puffs a lot, but is too selfish when it comes to the final ball and is often guilty of making the wrong decision. His shooting can be and often is wayward. Also can't defend for ****. Robben? Marcelo? Navas? Ribery? Take your ex-Saint biased spectacles off mate and get in the real world. Gareth is far from the "best left-sided player in world football."

Haven't been looking on the telly lately but online at least, I can't for the life of me find where you lot are getting this "confirmed to Liverpool" b0llocks. To have "agreed a fee" means absolutely nothing these days - Gorkks? Buttner? - and from what I gather folks from Liverpool will be heading to Milan tomorrow to (attempt to) finalize the deal. Absolutely anything can potentially happen and he could end up a Saint. Judging from people's reactions on here, am I the only one who would be seriously p!ssed off if we missed out on this lad? We are in desperate need for a pacy winger and he is EXACTLY what we need. Contrary to popular belief Lallana is NOT a wide player, far more suited to the middle and I'm sure under Pochettino that's the role we'll see more of him in (to be perfectly honest neither is Puncheon, cuts inside far too often, but that's another topic entirely). Go to around the 0:53 mark on this vid and tell me we don't need something like this, plus when was the last time we saw a Saints player do this? :

Like to see us play a high line for this one - Rooney and Van Persie are notorious for being caught offside far too often. Early ball over the top or through the middle to Puncheon or Coutinho to relieve the pressure. No hoofball. Clyne and Shaw to curb their attacking instincts - they have fast, dangerous wingers. When they receive the ball, Puncheon and Coutinho either get as close to the byline as possible (if the channels are empty) and pop one onto Rickie's head, OR play it square (if the middle is empty) to the onrushing Lallana and/or Ramirez (using Lambert as a decoy) and build from the centre (or have a crack from distance). Morgan to rarely, if ever, cross the halfway line; and basically make Kagawa non-existent. If we're not chasing the game after 70 minutes bring on Cork in place of either Lallana or Ramirez to do what he does best. If we're still not chasing the game after 80 minutes throw on Jayrod as poor Rickie would have to be knackered by then. Laugh all you like but I can see us nicking this one...
